Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways Announced, Out September 21

Resident Evil is one of the key pillar franchises for Capcom. This series has spanned across several console generations at this point. We’ve seen mainline installments continue to come out into the marketplace alongside spinoffs. However, as of late, we’ve started to see Capcom embrace the older games. A few remakes have managed to make their way out into the marketplace for modern platforms. The question some fans have now is if we’ll see this trend continue and if a remake for Resident Evil 5 is in the works. 

Resident Evil fans sure think a remake of the fifth mainline entry is in store after Separate Ways.

In the Separate Ways DLC for the , Ada Wong gets a fair share of weapons to find and choose from throughout the seven chapters. There are twelve weapons throughout the DLC, with Ada starting with a basic pistol, a submachine gun, and a tactical knife similar to her main story counterpart. The weapons are always a key part of any game, so understanding the options and where to find them are essential.

As fantastic as Resident Evil 4’s remake is, one of the most conspicuous absences from its original release was Ada Wong’s side story – it was such a key part of the HD version of the original game, after all. Thankfully, in this age of delays and over-hype, we haven’t had to wait too long for Capcom to complete the story, and the quality and replayability of this version of Separate Ways has been well worth the wait.

Fans of the Resident Evil franchise might be ready for a new helping of the franchise. The video game series’ most recent installment is Resident Evil 4. This is a remake of the classic and beloved installment of the series. However, upon its release, fans found that this game didn’t include a side campaign that had been released prior called Separate Ways. It was soon speculated that Capcom would deliver this campaign in the form of DLC later. Fortunately, that proved the case as we got word of the Separate Ways DLC during this month’s PlayStation State of Play. Best of all, the announcement confirmed that the DLC would also land in the marketplace this month.

Pretty much since the remake of Resident Evil 4 was released in March (yes, it’s been six months since it launched), fans have been clamoring for the “Separate Ways” DLC. The upcoming expansion was confirmed during Sony’s State of Play, and now a new trailer has been doing the rounds.

The much-rumoured Resident Evil 4 DLC focusing on Ada Wong is the real deal, and you won't have to wait long to play it: the PS5, PS4 expansion Separate Ways is out next week on 21st September 2023.
