The PS Plus October Essential games have been confirmed by Sony, with the October line up having a suitably scary and weird feel. This follows last month’s though, as Sony announced PS Plus price increases that came into effect on 6th September, raising prices 20% in the UK, 26% in Europe and a staggering 33% in the US.
The three games that will be available to all PS Plus subscribers, available on both PS4 and PS5 from October 3rd, are:
In our The Callisto Protocol look Jim said, “Dead Space fans will delight in its bloody mutant-shredding carnage, Striking Distance Studios using the classic 2008 horror as a template while inventing new and interesting gameplay ideas of its own.”
In our Farming Simulator 22 review, Gazzab said, “Farming Simulator 22 is the new pinnacle of farming simulation. Seasons and Production Chains are a breath of fresh air away from the repetitive cycle of preparing, planting, harvesting and selling that featured in previous games, while the new activities means farming has never been more diverse. There’s so many new things to do and thanks to crossplay improvements, you can enjoy multiplayer with more friends too.”
In our Weird West review, Alexis said, “A dark-fantasy western RPG with a compelling world and an ambitious narrative, Weird West is undermined by awkward combat and micromanagement. Weird West’s rotating multi-character perspective will be an acquired taste, but makes sense as a method of world-building. It’s got room to grow, but right now, it’s challenging to build momentum in the early game and to persevere through the mid-game.”
Of course you can! The PlayStation Plus games for September 2023 are available right up until 6th September, and include the following trio:
The PlayStation Plus relaunch took place back in the middle of 2022, transforming the PS Plus we once knew into a three tiered subscription service that bundles in and expands what was once PlayStation Now. The classic PS Plus is now called PS Plus Essential, giving access to online multiplayer gaming, cloud save backups, exclusive offers and at least 2 free monthly games. PS Plus Extra then adds a catalogue of PS4 and PS5 games into the mix, while PS Plus Deluxe and Premium (depending on your region) adds older PS2, PS1 and PSP game emulation, and game streaming for PS3 and other titles.
