PS Plus Extra Hit Teardown Gets More Mods, Available Now on PS5 | Push Square

Sony adds new games to PS Plus Extra and Premium on the third Tuesday every month, meaning fans are now able to claim a handful of games scattered across the service. Namely, this means PS Plus Extra subscribers can now claim 9 new games, while PS Plus Premium subscribers can claim all of that and then 4 more on top of that, including the classic PSP game Resistance: Retribution.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is out next month on PS5, and the game's frame rate has been a hot topic as we creep towards launch. Last month, the rumour mill was in full swing, with social media sources claiming that the title would be capped at just 30 frames-per-second on console — which obviously isn't ideal for an action-heavy RPG releasing in 2024.

The batch of fresh additions coming to PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium in February have just been revealed by Sony. As usual, there's a good number of new titles joining the party, with 13 in total going live in their respective tiers come 20th February, 2024.

There's nothing quite like a cosy game, and A Little to the Left is a perfect example of how a simplistic premise can deliver a comforting experience. In this relaxing puzzle game, you sort and organise basic household items, such as documents, books, toys, and anything you'd consider requiring a bit of a sort out, really. Throw in a lovely art style and you have yourself one charming, albeit short, cosy game to wind down with.

Inevitably, a game like PlateUp! will be compared to Overcooked, purely because both are restaurant-based games. Where PlateUp! differs from any of its foodie stablemates is that it has roguelite progression, and encourages players to stray away from chaos rather than embrace it.

Microsoft only announced four first-party titles for PS5 today, and it’s refusing to name which ones, although the likelihood is that Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, and Pentiment will all get ported. However, its stance is wishy-washy when it comes to other releases, with Spencer claiming he doesn’t believe “we should as an industry ever rule out a game going to any other platform”.

This month's games for PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium have been revealed, with 13 titles being added across the two tiers. We suppose the biggest talking point is that subscribers are getting four Tales games, including the very well received Tales of Arise, which released back in 2021.

SEGA is cooking a new Crazy Taxi game, among several other reboots or revivals. While little information is known about this rebooted arcade driving outing, an interview with its recently established Sapporo studio reveals it’s contributing to the project, which it describes as a AAA title.

Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore more or less nails what it sets out to do. Inspired directly by a pair of infamously bad Zelda games for the Philips CD-i, this fresh interpretation carries much of the same pseudo-bootleg energy that fans have come to love over time. The poorly animated cutscenes, awful voice acting, static environments, repetitive gameplay — all of it is expertly captured here, and that's both a blessing and a curse.

A new report has revealed the sizes of all the games coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog in February, with several high-profile titles joining the lineup. Sony's premium subscription service offers players a constantly changing roster of games to choose from, with new games rotating into PS Plus each month. The service's Extra and Premium subscriptions offer even more games, with the Game Catalog available for both tiers and Classics exclusive to the Premium tier. Now, a wealth of big-name games are joining the service in February.

Sony has announced the next range of titles coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium starting on February 20th. Subscribers in both tiers get access to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Roguebook and Tales of Arise on PS4 and PS5. It’s worth noting that Tales of Arise will also be coming to Game Pass on the same day.
