Pokemon Fans Choose Existing Monsters to Fill Out Missing Type Combinations

A creative Pokemon fan has come up with two original Mega Evolutions for Darmanitan. Custom designs are common in the beloved Japanese media franchise's community.

A Pokemon fan artist has shared their idea for what Azurill might look like if it were transformed into a human. The prolific fan artist is known for their gijinka, or anthropomorphized takes on non-human characters, and frequently shares Pokemon work with fellow fans.

In honor of Earth Day on April 22, a Pokemon fan artist recreated Numel and Camerupt, two Fire-type Pokemon, as regional Grass-types to suit the chosen theme. The Pokemon fan artist shared their work with other trainers, who complimented them for turning two Fire Pokemon into creatures that resembled dormant volcanoes reclaimed by nature.

The Clash game mode is just one of the new features to come to Overwatch 2 with Season 10, though the arrival of the Hanaoka map for this mode coincides with the temporary removal of the classic map Hanamura due to an issue that wrecked the level's geometry and made it completely unplayable. Although Hanamura doesn't appear in regular Quick Play or Competitive playlists, along with all other Overwatch 2 maps that are part of the old Assault game mode, these levels have nonetheless existed in the game since launch and are accessible via either the Arcade game mode or through custom games.

Overwatch 2's various animated shorts have cemented some of the series' most iconic moments, and a fantastic piece of fan artwork inspired by the upcoming Mirrorwatch event puts a spin on one particularly memorable moment between Tracer and Widowmaker. Season 10 of Overwatch 2 brings in a number of interesting alternate universe-themed skins for various heroes, and some fans have pointed out an interesting detail in Reinhardt's new Talon skin which shows that these Mirrorwatch skins take this alternate reality theme very seriously. Many of the new cosmetics introduced in the Season 10 battle pass for Overwatch 2 feature similar skins for heroes such as Brigitte, Doomfist, Genji, and more, and many of them are rich in details that some players may easily overlook.

A creative Pokemon player just designed an impressive Mega Evolution form for Flygon. There have been various new evolution types added to the Pokemon games over the years, and 2013’s Pokemon X and Y introduced the temporary but powerful Mega Evolutions. These transformations are triggered during battle by having the Pokemon in question hold a special Mega Stone, granting them a new form with enhanced stats and new abilities.

Though Applin has already received plenty of attention in the latest generation of Pokemon games, one fan of the franchise has recently shared their own alternative design for the species which reimagines it as an Ice and Dragon-type instead. The concept of regional variant Pokemon has spurred plenty of similar fan art since it was introduced in the Gen 7 games, and many of the interesting new Pokemon designs seen in the most recent Pokemon titles have further fueled artists' imaginations.

An inspired pasta-themed redesign of Tangela by a Pokemon fan is gaining traction for being clever and cute at the same time. The tasty makeover wouldn't look out of place alongside other food-themed Pokemon found in the series, either.

The vibrant personalities and often unique appearances of Overwatch 2's many heroes create plenty of room for fans to create custom skins for them, and while the multiplayer FPS title has crossed over with various other franchises recently, reimagining Overwatch 2's characters as Pokemon makes for a pretty esoteric concept.
