Overwatch 2 Fan Comes Up With Pokemon Types for the Entire Roster, Including Venture

Gamers all over the world will likely recognize the cake from Minecraft, and while they're certainly not the first to do it, one fan of the game has brought the game's cake to life by baking it in the real world. Minecraft's cake is just one example of the dozens upon dozens of food options available to survival mode players, though it stands out as a food item that can be placed as a block in the world — making it just as useful a decorative item to spruce up a home as it is a method of keeping the hunger bar full.

Minecraft is packed with awesome things to discover, but a clip shared by a member of the community highlights their encounter with what seems to be an unidentified flying object, at least at first glance. Even after more than a decade since the game's official release, fans of Minecraft continue to stumble upon and document interesting and often extremely rare occurrences in the game, ranging from the discoveries of extremely small or rare biomes to procedurally generated structures spawning in bizarre, unexpected locations.

A Pokemon Emerald player and artist stated that they are painting the entire map of the Hoenn Region, and shared five paintings they have created so far on social media. The Pokemon fan artist stated that they were halfway done with turning the Hoenn region into paintings, and other fans complimented them for their ongoing effort and for depicting Pokemon Emerald in their art.

A number of remarkable upcoming changes to Destiny 2 were recently shared in the latest TWID post, including the confirmed reversal of the weapon sunsetting mechanic which has made countless weapons from the game's earliest years functionally obsolete. This change is a monumental one for Destiny 2's weapon sandbox overall, and while many fans of the game were certain a change like this would never come, it seems as though the countless weapons from the game's first few years will actually be getting the chance to shine again.

The Clash game mode is just one of the new features to come to Overwatch 2 with Season 10, though the arrival of the Hanaoka map for this mode coincides with the temporary removal of the classic map Hanamura due to an issue that wrecked the level's geometry and made it completely unplayable. Although Hanamura doesn't appear in regular Quick Play or Competitive playlists, along with all other Overwatch 2 maps that are part of the old Assault game mode, these levels have nonetheless existed in the game since launch and are accessible via either the Arcade game mode or through custom games.

Overwatch 2's various animated shorts have cemented some of the series' most iconic moments, and a fantastic piece of fan artwork inspired by the upcoming Mirrorwatch event puts a spin on one particularly memorable moment between Tracer and Widowmaker. Though Applin has already received plenty of attention in the latest generation of Pokemon games, one fan of the franchise has recently shared their own alternative design for the species which reimagines it as an Ice and Dragon-type instead. The concept of regional variant Pokemon has spurred plenty of similar fan art since it was introduced in the Gen 7 games, and many of the interesting new Pokemon designs seen in the most recent Pokemon titles have further fueled artists' imaginations.

Various skins available in Overwatch 2 boast some neat details that add to their charm, and the new Talon Brigitte skin available with Season 10 is one such example, bringing a cosmetic overhaul to Brigitte's cat as well as the support hero herself. The latest season of Overwatch 2 is a pretty big one for cosmetics, and while the season pass is packed with quite a few skins for players to unlock, it seems more are yet to come with the limited-time Mirrorwatch event which begins near the end of the month.
