Fans of Overwatch 2 have shown off some seriously creative projects in the past, but a particularly alternative project recently shared among the community entertains the idea of the game's heroes as Pokemon, and what type each member of the roster would use. The vibrant personalities and often unique appearances of Overwatch 2's many heroes create plenty of room for fans to create custom skins for them, and while the multiplayer FPS title has crossed over with various other franchises recently, reimagining Overwatch 2's characters as Pokemon makes for a pretty esoteric concept.
With new additions being added to hero roster throughout the almost eight years that have passed since the release of the original Overwatch, the series as a whole is now up to a total of 40 heroes, with Venture being the latest member of the game's crew. Not only does every hero come with their own unique sets of abilities, weapons, cosmetics, and more, they're also accompanied by in-depth character backstories and distinctive personalities. Overwatch 2's characters have always been one of the game's strongest points, and play a vital part in developing the overarching lore of the series as well.
If fans are able to imagine each hero as a Pokemon and assign types to match them, it definitely speaks to how unique each hero really is. This is exactly what a fan known as HelloIamTaylor did in a post that they recently shared online. The idea of Overwatch 2's characters as Pokemon has tickled the imaginations of many others in the game's community, with the post itself attaching Pokemon types to each hero based on factors such as their appearances, personalities, and what equipment they use. Most of the game's characters use dual typings, and the list does include the most recent playable hero, Venture.
Many fans allured by this creative post have made their own suggestions as to how some heroes' types could be adjusted. Ultimately, the types that each hero would use is up to each fan's interpretation, and it's likely that different members of the Overwatch 2 community could come to completely different conclusions. Players haven't stopped at Pokemon types though, and there are plenty of somewhat similar tier list examples featuring Overwatch 2's many heroes.
While they were initially only playable for a limited-time playtest event, Overwatch 2 fans won't have to wait very long before they can play as Venture permanently. This adventurous, non-binary archaeologist was met with an impressively popular overall reaction from fans during their playtest period, and will immediately be available to all players for free upon the start of Overwatch 2's Season 10 on April 16.

Gamers all over the world will likely recognize the cake from Minecraft, and while they're certainly not the first to do it, one fan of the game has brought the game's cake to life by baking it in the real world. Minecraft's cake is just one example of the dozens upon dozens of food options available to survival mode players, though it stands out as a food item that can be placed as a block in the world — making it just as useful a decorative item to spruce up a home as it is a method of keeping the hunger bar full.
Minecraft is packed with awesome things to discover, but a clip shared by a member of the community highlights their encounter with what seems to be an unidentified flying object, at least at first glance. Even after more than a decade since the game's official release, fans of Minecraft continue to stumble upon and document interesting and often extremely rare occurrences in the game, ranging from the discoveries of extremely small or rare biomes to procedurally generated structures spawning in bizarre, unexpected locations.

Following the introduction of a whole new currency to Overwatch 2 with the release of its tenth season, one fan of the game shares an odd bug which causes a spray item to cost Mythic Prisms rather than credits, resulting in the usually inexpensive cosmetic item surpassing the cost of an entire Mythic skin. Overwatch 2's new Mythic Prism currency allows players to purchase any of the Mythic skins introduced to the game so far, and can be obtained from the premium battle pass as well as via optional microtransactions.
A new trailer for Destiny 2's upcoming Final Shape DLC shares a little more information about the mysterious Pale Heart destination that players will get to explore for themselves once the expansion drops in just a couple of months. The Clash game mode is just one of the new features to come to Overwatch 2 with Season 10, though the arrival of the Hanaoka map for this mode coincides with the temporary removal of the classic map Hanamura due to an issue that wrecked the level's geometry and made it completely unplayable. Although Hanamura doesn't appear in regular Quick Play or Competitive playlists, along with all other Overwatch 2 maps that are part of the old Assault game mode, these levels have nonetheless existed in the game since launch and are accessible via either the Arcade game mode or through custom games.
Overwatch 2's various animated shorts have cemented some of the series' most iconic moments, and a fantastic piece of fan artwork inspired by the upcoming Mirrorwatch event puts a spin on one particularly memorable moment between Tracer and Widowmaker. Season 10 of Overwatch 2 has proven to be a big one for the game, bringing with it a new hero, some widely-requested changes to the battle pass, and a plethora of awesome new skins which see heroes become villains.
Season 10 of Overwatch 2 brings in a number of interesting alternate universe-themed skins for various heroes, and some fans have pointed out an interesting detail in Reinhardt's new Talon skin which shows that these Mirrorwatch skins take this alternate reality theme very seriously. Many of the new cosmetics introduced in the Season 10 battle pass for Overwatch 2 feature similar skins for heroes such as Brigitte, Doomfist, Genji, and more, and many of them are rich in details that some players may easily overlook.
Though Applin has already received plenty of attention in the latest generation of Pokemon games, one fan of the franchise has recently shared their own alternative design for the species which reimagines it as an Ice and Dragon-type instead. The concept of regional variant Pokemon has spurred plenty of similar fan art since it was introduced in the Gen 7 games, and many of the interesting new Pokemon designs seen in the most recent Pokemon titles have further fueled artists' imaginations.
Various skins available in Overwatch 2 boast some neat details that add to their charm, and the new Talon Brigitte skin available with Season 10 is one such example, bringing a cosmetic overhaul to Brigitte's cat as well as the support hero herself. The latest season of Overwatch 2 is a pretty big one for cosmetics, and while the season pass is packed with quite a few skins for players to unlock, it seems more are yet to come with the limited-time Mirrorwatch event which begins near the end of the month.
