A new trailer for Destiny 2's upcoming Final Shape DLC shares a little more information about the mysterious Pale Heart destination that players will get to explore for themselves once the expansion drops in just a couple of months. This wondrous new place within the Destiny 2 universe appears to be the world within the Traveler itself, and while previous trailers, gameplay previews, and developer documentaries have given fans a little insight into what this realm is and what to expect from it, plenty of unanswered questions yet remain.
Fans got their first glimpse at this new destination when it was shown during The Final Shape's reveal trailer, though mention of the Traveler's «Pale Heart» has been made long before the destination's reveal. Guardians watched the Witness travel through the gateway to this mysterious domain at the end of Destiny 2's previous Lightfall campaign, and while the Vanguard's efforts to follow have so far proven fruitless, the game's most recent Season of the Wish tasks players with striking a bargain with the Ahamkara, Riven, in the hopes of this paracausal wish-granting dragon allowing them to discover a method of safely pursuing the Witness.
Destiny 2's Pale Heart is perplexing, to say the least, though Bungie have explained that this new destination exists as a world within the Traveler that has been created by its own consciousness. A new trailer for the expansion gives fans a slightly better look at the destination, with the returning Hunter Vanguard Cayde-6 telling Guardians about his own experiences in this place and how it's being corrupted by the presence of the Witness and its forces of Darkness. This elusive being has technically been the primary antagonist throughout the entire history of the Destiny series, and Guardians must fight their way through the Pale Heart before the Witness is able to enact the Final Shape there.
The creators of Destiny 2 have described the Pale Heart as a shifting landscape that reacts to the presence of the beings within it, and based on what players have seen from previews so far, the Pale Heart manifests the memories of the many locations Guardians have visited over the past decade. While these are somewhat vague, altered variations of such locations, players will nonetheless find themselves revisiting familiar places as they traverse the Pale Heart, including the original Tower that veteran players called home back in the first Destiny.
Getting to see what's essentially the inside of the Traveler is a big deal. Even after nearly a decade of Destiny, some of the most fundamental questions regarding the Traveler remain unanswered, and players have been imagining what the inside of it really looks like since the original game came

Tormentors have stood out as one of Destiny 2's strongest and most unique adversaries since their introduction, but a pretty awesome clip making the rounds online shows how one player put the pain on a Tormentor after they managed to escape its Dark Harvest attack during the last moments of an Onslaught game. Though Destiny 2's Tormentors aren't known to appear too frequently throughout the game, these monstrous enemies have made a much more notable appearance with the Into the Light update and the various new activities it has introduced.

Starfield director Todd Howard finally shares some new details regarding the game's upcoming Shattered Space story expansion, and though it looks like it's still quite a while away from release, players can also expect to see a few significant updates in the meantime. One of the new BRAVE weapons that players can acquire in Destiny 2's Into the Light update affords Guardians a ton of extra mobility if used correctly, but a hilarious clip circulating online demonstrates what happens when Guardians are careless with their grenade-jumps. Power has inspired much discussion in the Destiny 2 community, and with Bungie experimenting more with not raising the Power limit, many believed The Final Shape would remove it. Instead, the development team is taking several steps to allow more easily playing with friends, regardless of their Power.
Among its most unpopular decisions with Destiny 2, Bungie made two exceptionally annoying ones – vaulting previously released content, like The Red War, Curse of Osiris and Warmind campaigns, and capping Power on Legendary gear. It would slightly alter course on the latter, ensuring that Legendaries released after a point didn’t suffer the same issue. However, in The Final Shape, it’s completely reversing the decision.
If The Witness wasn’t enough for Guardians in Destiny 2: The Final Shape, they must contend with the new Dread faction. Wielding the powers of Darkness, they create havoc and keep the player off-balance, as seen with the Harbinger, Weaver, Husk and Geist. Two new teasers highlight the remaining members – the Omen, Attendant and Grim.
A number of remarkable upcoming changes to Destiny 2 were recently shared in the latest TWID post, including the confirmed reversal of the weapon sunsetting mechanic which has made countless weapons from the game's earliest years functionally obsolete. This change is a monumental one for Destiny 2's weapon sandbox overall, and while many fans of the game were certain a change like this would never come, it seems as though the countless weapons from the game's first few years will actually be getting the chance to shine again.
We all knew this was coming. Destiny 2: The Final Shape will make sweeping changes to the MMO's overly complicated Power system, streamlining the grind and making it easier to play with friends. The kicker is that all "legacy" items – you know, the ones that were sunset years ago – are coming back. Except they're also not, because most players already deleted them after they were sunset, and developer Bungie admits "we have no recovery mechanism."

While Destiny 2's Fireteam Power feature was initially announced back in August during the Destiny 2 Showcase 2023, the developers are now announcing updated changes as to how the feature will allow its players more interaction with their friends in the upcoming expansion.
