A Pokemon fan and artist has designed pre-evolutions for the franchise's Ultra Beasts. Ultra Beasts are a unique kind of Pokemon that were first introduced in Pokemon Sun and Moon. Seven Ultra Beasts appeared in Pokemon Sun and Moon, while an additional four were added as part of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
Ultra Beasts differ from traditional Pokemon in many ways. For example, most Ultra Beasts don't evolve, with the exception of one. Poiple, a Poison-type Ultra Beast introduced inPokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, can evolve into Poison/Dragon-type Naganadel when it levels up while knowing the move Dragon Pulse. There are no official evolutions or pre-evolutions for any of the other Ultra Beasts, and so one Pokemon fan decided to take matters into their own hands.
Reddit user and artist WhaleMan295 decided to create pre-evolutions for all the other Ultra Beasts that exist in the Pokemon games, taking inspiration from Poiple and Naganadel. WhaleMan295's designs include Egolyp, Skitleech, Infestro, Lifewyre, Celeshootle, Folmissil, Gluteenee, Walstart, and Cejuggalon, who evolve into Nihilego, Buzzwole, Pheromosa, Celesteela, Kartana, Guzzlord, Stakataka, and Blacephalon, respectively. WhaleMan295's designs were met with enthusiasm from the Pokemon community, with the post earning 4.6 thousand upvotes at the time of this writing.
While Ultra Beasts were a big deal in the Pokemon Sun and Moon games, they haven't been nearly as much of a factor since. Pokemon Sword and Shield had its own gimmicks to focus on, and the same goes for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which introduced Paradox Pokemon. It's possible future Pokemon games will put the spotlight back on Ultra Beasts, potentially introducing brand-new ones, but that remains to be seen.
As it stands, the next Pokemon games have not actually been announced. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet just received their Epilogue update, though, so it's likely Game Freak, Nintendo, and The Pokemon Company are prepping for the franchise's future. Presumably, the Generation 10 Pokemon games are in development and will be releasing on the next Nintendo console, though it's also possible that the new Pokemon games will release on the Nintendo Switch instead.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were criticized for their performance, which was partly blamed on the Switch's outdated hardware. The next Nintendo console will presumably be a great deal more powerful, and so should theoretically result in more technically-impressive Pokemon games, but that remains to be seen. Pokemon Day is coming on February 27, so perhaps franchise fans will learn more soon.

According to a new leak, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet could be adding a new Mythical Pokemon in a future update. Pokemon fans could be forgiven if they assumed that Nintendo and Game Freak had already closed the book on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. After all, the games released back in 2022 and have already had over a year of support through updates and substantial DLC expansions.
Palworld has released update 0.1.3.0 for the Steam version of the game, but it has unfortunately been causing some headaches. One artistic Pokemon fan has created a new final evolution for the Water and Electric-type pocket monster, Chinchou, complete with a Pokedex entry. Over the years, Pokemon fans have been reimagining what their favorite pals from the series would look like with different elemental typings and even evolutions, such as another gamer's newly designed third stage of the Kricketune line, dubbed Kricketrello. These designs are often lauded online as other players are captivated by the reimaginings, which, for some, are a way to see their favorites in a new light.
Sony has released a brand-new PlayStation 5 system update that users can download for their consoles right now. Sony releases new PS5 updates on a regular basis. One talented Pokemon fan artist designed a paternal version of Kangaskhan. Of course, in Pokemon lore, Kangaskhan is a female-only species. Described as the «parent Pokemon,» Kangaskhan is typically seen with its child inside its pouch, similar to a kangaroo.
A talented Pokemon fan recently dreamed up an Electric-type Vulpix variant to go along with their previous Ninetales redesign. The fox-like Vulpix was introduced in the original Pokemon Red and Blue games as the 37th creature overall, with the ability to evolve into the majestic Ninetales when it is exposed to a Fire Stone. Both of these evolutions are modeled after the kitsune, a multi-tailed fox of Japanese lore with the ability to breathe fire — a fitting inspiration for a pair of Fire-type Pokemon. Vulpix and Ninetales were later given alternate Alola region variants in Pokemon Sun and Moon that swapped out their usual Fire abilities with Ice.
There's a variety of useful and unique Poke Balls available throughout the Pokemon games, and one creative fan of the series has shared their own set of Poke Ball concepts complete with their own designs and functions to aid players in catching certain types of Pokemon. Though these designs may be fanmade, they take inspiration from items such as the existing Net Balls and Dive Balls, which provide boosted catch rates for specific creatures encountered throughout the world of Pokemon.

January 25 will be the last day that Harmonix releases new DLC songs for Rock Band 4, its music/rhythm game that it's supported with new content for nearly a decade. Launching five years after Rock Band 3, Rock Band 4 came out at a time when the music/rhythm game craze had largely passed. While it failed to generate nearly as much interest as its predecessors, it did still manage to find some success and a dedicated fanbase.
