Peter Molyneux’s ‘blockchain business sim’ releases next month

Minecraft is getting a new bit of Star Wars DLC filled with a bunch of familiar faces from the galaxy far, far away in blocky, Minecraftified form. You’ll also be able to make your own lightsaber and droid companion to take on your adventures as a Jedi padawan.

The PC and Switch versions of Sociable Soccer 24 – the arcade football game from the creator of Sensible Soccer – will be released on 16th November, 2023.

Fable co-creator Peter Molyneux has been hard at work on a brand new game, after revealing last month that it's currently in development under the name Project MOAT. He's keeping pretty quiet about what the game is or what we can expect from it, most likely as a precaution after his overpromising days, but has now managed to confuse everyone by revealing the game will be set in a land called Albion, though seemingly not the one from the Fable series.

Peter Molyneux is returning to game development, and the Fable series, with a new title currently named Project MOAT. On X, the longtime game designer/director revealed the upcoming game would be set in Albion, the primary setting of the Fable games. 

Peter Molyneux is legendary for a lot of things, many of them not good, but arguably his most notable credit is his role in creating the legendary RPG series Fable. Now he's working on a brand-new game "set in the land of Albion," and fans are coming unglued trying to figure out whether or not that's a reference to Fable's Albion.

It's been almost a year since I finished Astlibra Revision, the unquestionably weirdest and arguably best JRPG of 2022, but it's still stuck in my head not so much like a catchy song, but rather more like a pickaxe. The hard-to-pronounce RPG is now headed to Nintendo Switch on November 16, which means a whole new audience can and absolutely should experience the narrative and combat system that positively fried my brain over the course of 58 unforgettable hours. 

Peter Molyneux's next game will be set in Albion, the setting of the Fable series. Molyneux was, of course, a designer on Fable, Fable 2, and Fable 3 before he left the series' original developer Lionhead Studios.

Deep Silver and Plaion has revealed that the first expansion for Dead Island 2, titled Haus, will be released on November 2. According to the Expansion Pass for Dead Island 2, Haus is the first of two planned story expansions. In Haus, players will explore new locations and discover new weapons and skill cards while having a front-row seat to the slow decay of a cryptic group of survivors.

Sony is all set to refresh its PlayStation 5 lineup for the holiday season, with the long-rumoured slimmer redesign of the PS5 confirmed to release next month. Sony unveiled the new PS5 models late Tuesday, showcasing design changes that have helped the console become smaller and lighter. While the PS5 slim's processing power and graphical capabilities remain the same as the original PS5, the mid-gen console refresh, which has a slightly smaller form factor than its infamously bulky predecessor, does get slightly bigger internal storage, up from an 825GB custom SSD to 1TB. The PS5 slim also brings the option to add an external UHD Blu-ray disc drive to its digital edition console. Notably, the disc edition of the redesigned PS5 slim maintains its pricing at $499.99 (roughly Rs. 41,615), but the digital edition gets a $50 price bump and will cost $449.99 (roughly Rs. 37,452), up from $399.

Alien Hominid developer The Behemoth has confirmed that its two upcoming titles, Alien Hominid HD and Alien Hominid Invasion, are both going to be released right at the start of next month, on November 1.
