Nintendo’s first-party output for the Switch is definitely slowing down to a trickle in what’s surely looking like the final stretch of the console’s active lifecycle, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing significant to look forward to. In particular, there’s no shortage of Switch owners who’re keenly anticipating the looming launch of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door’s remake, and new tidbits on it have now emerged.
The RPG’s Switch eShop page was recently updated, and has now revealed that it will require 5.1 GB of free storage on your console. That, of course, is more or less par for the course by Switch standards (and positively miniscule when compared to the overwhelming majority of AAA games on other platforms).
Interestingly, The Thousand-Year Door’s file size is smaller than other Mario RPGs on the Switch. Last year’s Super Mario RPG remake and 2020’s Paper Mario: The Origami King both had a file size of 6.5 GB (which isn’t all that high either).
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door launches for the Switch on May 23.
