Palia Adding Astrology-Based Gem System, Previews Housing and Storage Increases, and More on the Way

Forza Motorsport received its first update last month shortly after its launch, and as previously confirmed by developer Turn 10 Studios, its second update is now available, which, in addition to addressing several bugs and technical issues in the game, also brings some new content.

Another month, another batch of fresh games set to hit Xbox Game Pass. This time around, you can expect new games like Persona 5 Tactica and the console version of Dune: Spice Wars, as well as DLC and updates, and more. And, per usual, some games are leaving Xbox Game Pass this month. Let's break it all down below. 

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater arrived for the first time on PC with a resounding “oof” last month, launching alongside Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2, plus the two Metal Gear games, in the extremely barebones Master Collection.

Palia has added a series of new, free character customization options, added Starstones to mining nodes, raised some housing limits, and more quality of life  additions and improvements.

World of Warcraft: The War Within is the next expansion set to release for the decades-long-running MMORPG. Touted as during the BlizzCon 2023 Opening Ceremony part of the culmination of nearly twenty years of Warcraft history, The War Within is the first of three chapters that will see the resolution to narrative threads that have been dangling for years. And like any expansion, it will feature new areas for players to discover, along with more than a handful of dungeons and encounters they can tackle at varying difficulties.

Women make up just between 24% and 30% of the video game industry’s workforce, depending on the research source. However, year after year, from players to developers, female representation has been growing throughout games at all levels of experience.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 hit PlayStation 5 exclusively on October 20 and quickly became Sony's fastest-selling first-party game. While we loved the game – read Game Informer's Marvel's Spider-Man 2 review here – players have discovered bugs and issues leading to laughter and, in some cases, progress impediment. Fortunately, developer Insomniac Games has been quick to fix issues with updates, like one last week that fixed an incorrect flag and the infamous white cube model issue.
