Terry Pratchett’s hilarious Discworld series has been a fantasy mainstay in books, movies, and television for decades, even after the author’s death in 2015. But for something that’s so important to a popular genre, it’s odd that there haven’t been many attempts to adapt it into a role-playing game, especially given its wealth of characters, species, settings, and deep satire.

GamesRadar+ can exclusively reveal that Modiphius, the studio responsible for tabletop adaptations of Star Trek, Fallout, and more, is working on a Discworld TTRPG.

Eeek. Writer and narrative designer Rhianna Pratchett has kindled a little frail hope that we might one day play another brand new Discworld videogame, while responding to earlier comments from Perfect Entertainment co-founder Gregg Barnett about who exactly owns the intellectual property rights to Perfect's old Discworld adventure titles from the 90s.

A potential remaster of the cult Discworld games is on hold owing to a licensing issue that involves the British Monarchy. Developed by Perfect Entertainment, Discworld, Discworld 2, and Discworld Noir were point-and-click adventure games that were released between 1995 and 1999 across PC, PlayStation, and the Sega Saturn.

Whatever happened to the old Discworld games? Well, they pretty much ceased to be a thing around the late 90s. However, there is a glimmer of hope that the retro point-and-click adventure series may return, so long as it bypasses a small bit of red tape.

A re-release of the 90s point-and-click Discworld game «may happen», designer Gregg Barnett has teased. However, the developer said because of the way intellectual property rights work in the UK, 50 percent of the game currently belongs to the crown, which complicates matters a tad.

Good Omens is coming back for a third season, but it's all set to be the show's last.

Good Omens season 3 looks to be on the cards after all, despite showrunner Douglas Mackinnon's shock departure from the Prime Video series. Neil Gaiman, who co-wrote the book in which the hit fantasy is based with Terry Pratchett, took to Tumblr recently to assure a fan that they're "getting closer" when it comes to making another chapter.

Season 2 of Good Omens wasn’t really ever supposed to happen. The first season was originally planned as a miniseries, a one-and-done adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s classic 1990 novel. After the first season of Good Omens left the question of Aziraphale and Crowley’s relationship dangling, fans read and wrote fic by the truckload, imagining all the different ways things might play out after the fall of the curtain. But when season 2 was, in fact, greenlit by Amazon, there was always going to be a question of how closely the continuation would hew to the reams of imagined ever-afters from the collective mind of fandom. And the result is… actually remarkably close to what the fanfic thought it might be.

After a relatively cozy and oddly happy season, Good Omens broke everyone’s hearts — but in the best way possible.

As someone who loved Terry Pratchett’s Bromeliad Trilogy growing up, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the return to the Earth-like planet PNF-404 in Pikmin 4. Who knows what has befallen this planet in the Pikmin-verse, but it’s quirkily enjoyable to have our general detritus as collectable treasures for the diminutive Pikmin and Hocotatians. Pikmin 4‘s pretty great, by the way.
