In addition to software sales for September 2023, Circana executive director and analyst Mat Piscatella also revealed hardware sales in the United States for the month. The PS5 topped the charts again in unit and dollar sales, with Xbox Series X/S in second place.
Starfield was the best-selling game in the US in September, while PS5 was once again the leading console platform.

Remnant 2 beat Diablo 4 to become the best-selling game of July 2023 in the U.S. According to the latest NPD data from Mat Piscatella, Gearbox's Remnant 2 ranked first in July sales for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, dethroning Activision Blizzard's Diablo IV.
