The actor behind villains in Baldur's Gate 3 and Resident Evil Village has addressed fan feedback to their characters - and commented on being type-cast.

We've known Baldur's Gate 3 was selling extremely well on Steam since day one. After all, Larian's triple-A cRPG broke various concurrency records on Valve's platform, reaching rank #9 on Steam's all-time concurrent player chart with a peak of 814K users. Last Sunday, the game registered a new peak of 875K concurrent users, nearly matching the eighth game on that chart (Hogwarts Legacy, another massive success in this year of records, which peaked at 879K on Steam).

Baldur’s Gate 3 has unveiled its next big villain, Orin The Red, and the internet is understandably thirsty for the murderous shapeshifter. 

Larian Studios, developers of the long-awaited and just-long Baldur’s Gate 3, have unveiled the trailer for the villainous Orin the Red. She’s a master shapeshifter and one-third of a triumvirate of main villains that players will have to deal with in the game.

Baldur's Gate 3 is, wait, let me check… 144 hours away, and Larian has just formally introduced the third and final villain of the game's «unholy triumvirate» of bad guys. Orin the Red is a nefarious knife-loving lady voiced by Maggie Robertson—of RE8's Lady Dimitrescu fame—and I think she's going to do a lot of deeply undesirable things to me and the people I love.

With the imminent release of Baldur's Gate 3 next week, Larian have released another villain spotlight video showcasing the RPG juggernaut's final character in its trio of antagonists, and Lady Dimitrescu actor Maggie Robertson will be playing her. Hell yeah. Orin the Red is an angry, evil, shapeshifting lady who seems to have a major chip on her shoulder and a lust for destruction and blood. The video doesn't go too much into Orin's role in BG3 beyond the fact that she's super evil, but if you'd like to see snippets of Robertson as Orin in action you can watch the video below:

With Baldur’s Gate 3 agonizingly within touching distance now, the founder of developer Larian Studios says the team will definitely look to return to its defining universe in the future. The success of Divinity Original Sin saw Larian selected to build the much-anticipated Baldur’s Gate 3 after the popular reception to its outstanding RPG games, and Swen Vincke says he’d love to return to Larian’s self-created universe – but not for a while yet.

One of the most spectacular villains we’ve seen yet is Orin the Red, a woman voiced by none other than Maggie Robertson herself, the actor behind Resident Evil’s Lady Dimitrescu.

Larian Studios released a new trailer for Baldur’s Gate 3, focusing on the third antagonist of the story – Orin the Red. Described as a “grandmaster” of murder (if murder were an art), Orin is a shapeshifter and can transform into anyone. She may even be among your party.

Larian Studios is gearing up for Baldur’s Gate 3’s release on PC in just one week. After announcing the third major antagonist earlier this month, the team is giving us a deeper introduction to Orin the Red.
