The Hitman games have always reveled in giving players the freedom to puzzle out their own murderous solutions — even ones that go against the developers’ wishes, as seen in the latest patch for Hitman World of Assassination (née Hitman 3).

Hitman and Project 007 developer IO Interactive has hired Ulas Karademir as its new chief technical officer.

IO Interactive has been working on its James Bond title, currently codenamed Project 007, for a while now, and though details on the game itself haven’t been too abundant, new tidbits about its development have continued to filter through- like additions to the game’s development team.

A new has brought iconic actor Sean Bean into the latest entry in the series through The Undying Mission.

Consolidating the entire new Hitman trilogy into one comprehensive package, Hitman 3 (or Hitman: World of Assassination, as it is now known) is essentially the ultimate envisioning of the franchise. It’s not done yet, either, with the upcoming Season of the Undying introducing even more content to the package.

Hitman's Elusive Targets started as a series of one-off assassinations, baddies who would appear in the live service game for a few days and offer one chance to kill them (don't blow it!) before vanishing. While developers Io Interactive did eventually start bringing back Elusive Targets due to popular demand/widespread frustration, some have proved more elusive than others. Four years since he last appeared, a target played by famous dier Sean Bean will return in March. Kill him, kill him while you can. It's what he would want. It's how he pays his rent. Craft services don't even offer him a cuppa until he croaks.

The sequel to CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 is already in development, known by the codename "Project Orion", and developers with some serious credits have begun to assemble at the company's Boston studio (and a satellite studio in Vancouver). In a press release announcing the passing of another milestone, CDPR crowed about several high-profile additions to the development team.

When developing Baldur’s Gate 3, the studio took inspiration from some games you might not expect.

Last month, Feral Interactive announced Hitman: Blood Money – Reprisal, an expanded and reworked re-release of 2006’s Hitman: Blood Money, coming to iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. Now, the developer has revealed when the game will be hitting each platform.

Hitman: Blood Money Reprisal will launch for iOS via App Store and Android via Google Play on November 30, publisher Feral Interactive announced. The Switch version will follow this winter.

The Hitman series is taking a break while IO Interactive focuses on other projects, but with the developer celebrating its 25th anniversary, it’s taking the opportunity to bring back one of the series’ older entries, in the form of Hitman: Blood Money – Reprisal. 

The Hitman series soon turns 25 years old, but Agent 47’s unwrinkled face doesn’t carry the “what am I doing with my life?” stress that normally accompanies such a birthday. Developer IO Interactive is instead celebrating with both new and returning events coming to the stealth infiltration mega package that is Hitman: World Of Assassination.
