Nvidia’s DLSS 3.5 adds ‘AI path tracing’ to all RTX GPUs

NVIDIA is announcing a brand new AI software stack today known as TensorRT LLM which boosts Large Language Models performance across its GPUs.

If rougelikes, rougelites, or any other dungeoneering quest has taught us anything, it’s that trial by fire and trial by error are the two best ways to go about the randomly generation dungeon crawling experience. NVIDIA has published its DLSS 3.5 SDK, paving the way for the next generation of Super Sampling enhancements within games and applications.

Video game and general graphical technology is advancing so fast, that it’s tough to keep up with it. Now, Nvidia has announced that the latest version of its Deep Learning Super Sampling (or DLSS) is on the way, and it’s already going to support some modern titles.

Alan Wake 2 got plenty of news yesterday at Gamescom 2023. First, NVIDIA confirmed that the game would feature full-fledged path tracing on PC as well as NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 support.

Support for Nvidia DLSS 3 shows no signs of slowing, with PC games aplenty emerging each week to support team green’s tech. Now, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be the first game in the series to pack the full Nvidia feature suite, including Frame Generation, Reflex, and Super Resolution.

Nvidia DLSS is already an invaluable way to improve performance and image quality, particularly when ray tracing is involved. Now, with the advent of ‘Ray Reconstruction’ as part of DLSS 3.5, Nvidia is working to improve ray tracing fidelity and frame rates across its entire GeForce RTX graphics card range.
