Mere days after teasing No Man's Sky ECHOES as part of the game's seventh anniversary, Hello Games has now released the update, which is a really big one.
For one thing, the British developer is adding a robotic race, the first race to be introduced post-launch. In No Man's Sky ECHOES, players will uncover a long-hidden race of robots through what was described as 'rich story content'. Travelers will have to engage in robot assignments and rituals to earn a huge array of mechanical parts to create their robotic avatars.
Moreover, space combat has been overhauled to allow for truly epic freighter versus freighter battles. Players must defend fleets from pirates and may use tactics such as flying through enemy trenches to sabotage their shields and destroy them.
Other additions coming with No Man's Sky ECHOES include:
Last but not least, Hello Games continues to improve the rendering quality, performance, and stability of the game. PS VR2 users can expect a large quality improvement thanks to implementing foveated rendering. The Nintendo Switch version also benefits from performance improvements and a new antialiasing technique that should make the game even prettier on the console.

It’s impressive when someone manages to create a beloved game experience on their own; or at the very least with a small team. Such was the case with Stardew Valley , and its developer Eric Barone, also known by the pseudonym “ConcernedApe.” What’s even more impressive than that, though, is how that experience was converted into a highly coveted board game. While Stardew Valley: The Board Game was available for a limited run, it’s coming back very soon.
