The time is nearing for the latest addition to the Mortal Kombat franchise to be released. While everyone is still coming off the hype of learning that the game will be a reboot rather than another step in the long line of games, a Brazilian retailer might have leaked a key detail about what kind of game mode we can expect in the upcoming release, a single-player mode (Invasion) for Mortal Kombat 1.

NetherRealm Studios has been doing an incredible job building up the hype for Mortal Kombat 1. Between the character trailers that highlight who is Koming and what changes they have and the Kombat Kasts that break down the fighter’s abilities, fans are getting hyped with virtually every week that passes. One recent announcement was the new trailer that heralded the return of Reptile, Ashrah, and Havik. These characters were both fan requests and ones that haven’t been around in a long time. As such, many wondered how the new game would affect their backstories in the new world that Liu Kang had created.

Mortal Kombat 1 made Reptile human again, so, of course, fans are hot for the transforming ninja lizard man (I'm counting myself among 'fans', for the record).

NetherRealm Studios have shared their Banished trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 at this year’s EVO.

Quan Chi is part of the first Kombat Pack's line-up, which many took to mean he won't be a part of Mortal Kombat 1's story. However, eagle-eyed fans have spotted him slumped over and knocked out in the new Banished trailer.

Franchise veteran Reptile and 3D-era characters Havik and Ashrah have been confirmed for Mortal Kombat 1 in an explosive new trailer. 

NetherRealm Studios has been knocking it out of the park with all of the Mortal Kombat 1 trailers it has put out so far, and that continues with its newest one. EVO week has brought with it plenty of new updates on some of the biggest upcoming fighters, and with a new trailer, NetherRealm, too, has confirmed three more characters for Mortal Kombat 1’s roster.

Mortal Kombat 1 has been making an increasingly strong impression each time it has been shown off, from the new mechanics it’s introducing to the characters being revealed for its roster to the premise of its new, rebooted universe- but of course, there’s always room for improvement. For instance, those who’ve managed to get their hands on early builds of the game – like with June’s online stress test – have brought up the game’s slower movement speed and issues with the dashing. It seems, however, that NetherRealm Studios has already made improvements on that front.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a hit with most people, giving us an exciting world to explore and a character to customise however we like. While you'll struggle to find anyone with any major problems with the game, there is one thing that quite a lot of people would like to see implemented in a future patch or update, and that's more in-game details surrounding class progression when making a character.
