Mortal Kombat 1 DLC character Omni-Man ‘First Look’ trailer

Mortal Kombat 1 introducing downloadable content character Omni-Man will launch on November 9 for Kombat Pack owners and November 16 for all users, publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer NetherRealm Studios announced.

Mortal Kombat 1 just released the first full Omni-Man gameplay trailer, revealing that he will be available from November 9 next week if you own either the Premium Edition or first Kombat Pack.

A new gameplay trailer has been released showing off the upcoming Omni-Man DLC, which is inspired by the Invincible comic book and Prime Video adult animated series and features the voice of actor J. K. Simmons. It will be released on November 9 as the first playable character in the Kombat Pack.

Mortal Kombat 1 is set in a new timeline written by Fire God Liu Kang, which means certain relationships and identities have changed. Kuai Liang is now Scorpion, Mileena and Kitana are sisters, and Tarkatan is a disease, not a people. That leaves the question of where the Kombat Kids fit in, but leakers may have found the answer in datamined DLC voice lines which were proven true by the Omni-Man trailer.

You'd be forgiven for thinking The Boys' big bad Supe Homelander is an unbeatable opponent, considering not even Soldier Boy could take him down (though spin-off Gen V may have introduced a character who can).

Omni-Man of Invincible fame is coming to Mortal Kombat 1 in November as part of the Kombat Pack, and now the first official gameplay and cinematic footage has been released. The footage shows Omni-Man looking to claim the new timeline for Viltrum Empire. It also shows scenes that almost identical to the Invincible series, like that train scene.

NetherRealm Studios dropped the gameplay trailer during the New York Comic Con 2023 event, revealing a set of brutal moves that were pulled straight from the eponymous animated series adaptation on Amazon Prime Video. The villainous character will be available as a standalone fighter in November, accessible to those who bought the Premium Edition of the game or the Kombat Pack DLC separately. Actor J.K. Simmons is also reprising his role and voicing Omni-Man for Mortal Kombat 1.
