Melvor Idle, the independent, RuneScape -inspired (and Jagex published) idle game, now has its second expansion, Age of Discovery. The DLC adds new skills, a whole new game mode, and expanded map, combat areas, and much more.
Understanding much of the content inthe Atlas of Discovery expansion is a lot clearer when you look at its new game mode, Ancient Relics, and its new skills, cartography and archeology. By learning how to make maps and to understand more about the ancient world, you’ll get to explore more of Melvor and to open up new areas on the world map. You’ll also be able to discover and obtain artifacts that are below the surface, helping to inform some more about the past.
There are over 600 new items in the expansion, new upgraded gear, and even a new equipment slot: gem slot. To go with the two skills that have just been added, there are skill upgrades in the shop, a new combat mechanic, Barrier, and a new Summoning Familiar for Barrier. This familiar will synergize with a number of the existing familiars.
There’s just a lot more stuff to do, acquire, and to add to your experience. There are new pets, some township tasks, and agility obstacles. Additional new resources arrive in several skills like Woodcutting, Mining, and Herblore, and new items to create in Smithing, Fletching, Crafting, and Runecrafting. There are also additional spells added, magic curses, two magic auroras, and a new astrology constellation.
Also in the update is a new Unholy Prayer book with 17 new Unholy Prayers. There are three new Slayer areas, eight new combat areas, and five new dungeons. Of course, all these areas need some inhabitants, so expect 46 new monsters too.
The expansion is now available on Steam, Android, and iOS for $4.99 / £4.20 / €4.29.

High on Life is one of those silly, surreal experiences you never shake after playing through to the end. As a massive Rick and Morty stan, I really enjoyed it despite some of its repetitive qualities. It delivered what I had expected it to, a nice package of humor and the ultimate question, “What am I even looking at?” High on Knife, Squanch Games’ DLC, excited me as soon as it was announced. Some time has passed since then, and we’ve finally received an official High on Knife release date.
High on Knife, the horror-themed expansion for Squanch Games' silly shooter High on Life, is out October 3.

Star Citizen, the massive multiplayer space simulation title, continues to march through a very long development cycle. The game’s most recent patch, Alpha 3.20, adds new PvP modes, maps, race tracks, missions, ships, and more. The patch also overhauls the Arena Commander module, which is a game inside Star Citizen that allows players to get to the meat of a spaceship battle without having to set up their own ship and prepare for a trek.
Heading into 's tenth anniversary, it's no longer a surprise to see the MMORPG continue to be one of the most popular games in its genre. The development team behind the project — which, lest readers forget, began as an absolute disaster at lauch — has cultivated a reputation for being one of the most trustworthy in the industry. «Quality» and " expansion" seem to go hand-in-hand at this point, and that sustained level of design innovation has made the game into one of the most influential live service options around.
Palia is an adorable and cozy life simulator MMO that generates endless amounts of serotonin and dopamine in my brain. It’s also a clear work in progress from developer Singularity Six; every intriguing clue and tantalizing hint seems to lead to an “under construction” sign or a brick wall. The progression loop holds a certain tension: You can grow crops, build a home, and explore a fantastical and bucolic fantasy world… but the magic will stop at specific boundaries until the developer is ready to cut the ribbon.
