Massive Halo Infinite Update Will Bring A New Mode, New Maps, And Revamped Progression

Torchlight: Infinite has launched its Season 3 preseason, Hunter’s Odyssey, with a new map, new preseason gear, and more to lead into the new season. 

I absolutely love Amnesia: The Bunker⁠—it's gotten lost in the tangle of one of the best years for gaming in a long time, but The Bunker is quietly one of the best horror games I've ever played. Now Frictional Games is augmenting that already mondo-stressful experience with a surprise Halloween update and harder-than-hard «Shell Shock» mode.

Ankama Games has opened up a brand new season, Lance Dur, in Waven with Chapter 1: Cire Momore starting today. The update to the Early Access tactical MMO adds a new competitive PvE mode, rewards, an overhauled Battle Pass, and the spooky challenge  coincides with Halloween.

A new update has been launched for Lords of the Fallen that alters its New Game Plus mode, as well as enemy density and performance.

Spider-Man 2 will receive a New Game+ mode as part of a post-launch update, later this year. As per Insomniac Games Community Director James Stevenson, just like the 2018's Marvel's Spider-Man, those looking to replay the title and mop up all the side quests might have to wait a bit, though for now, simply beating it once grants access to an ‘Ultimate' difficulty setting for a fresh playthrough. For the uninitiated, a New Game + mode generally allows players to plunge back into a game's campaign in an overpowered state, as the in-game character carries over all unlocked abilities, tools and weapons, and gear upgrades.

Spider-Man 2 is packed with classic villains from the web-slinger’s deep roster of bad guys. If you’re eager to dig in and see all the villain bosses you’ll encounter with Peter Parker and Miles Morales, check them out in the full gallery below. Insomniac has a tendency to cram its games full of additive bells and whistles at launch, with plenty of modes and additional features being available in the developer’s titles to allow players to get the most out of the games. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, however, will have one or two such features missing at launch- though they will be coming in the not-too-distant future.

Marvel’s Spider-Man didn’t include the option to replay the story in New Game Plus mode when it first launched in 2018. But Insomniac wasn’t lazing about in a hammock made of webbing, either. The developer launched the feature roughly six weeks after launch. Is it coming to the sequel? Oh yes, and now we (roughly) know when: before the end of this year.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 mightn't be out yet, but if your excitement is so vast you're already pondering a second play-through, you'll be pleased to know the game will — like its predecessor — be getting a New Game Plus mode, but it'll be arriving sometime after launch.

343 Industries' and Microsoft's well-reviewed, but fan-derided and far from chart-topping sci-fi FPS Halo Infinite is experiencing a slight revival, and it's all thanks to the magic of, er, Pokemon. Pokemon being one of several new custom gametypes knocked together by intrepid Halo players using the Forge map editor's new AI toolkit, added in the Halo Season 5: Reckoning updates, which allow you to bring campaign AI into Forge maps and tweak its behaviour at length.
