Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Will Add New Game Plus and Mission Replay Before 2024

Ascendant Studios’ Immortals of Aveum will receive a new content update on November 16th. The Echollector Update arrives alongside a free trial on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, along with a demo on Steam. It adds a new endgame objective where Jak must venture to new areas courtesy of corrupted Shatterfanes.

 War Thunder’s Kings of Battle update is here, with new vehicles, new game mechanics, and a brand new map.

The Day Before has had a rough couple of years ever since it was announced back in 2021. So rough that some have suggested that it might not actually exist. To reassure the skeptical, developer FNTASTIC just released a new gameplay trailer for The Day Before that includes a December release date.

Capcom have unveiled the next generation of their in-house RE Engine, which came in alongside Resident Evil 7 in 2017 and has been used by a bunch of projects over the years, from the excellent Devil May Cry 5 to the forthcoming possibly-excellent Dragon's Dogma 2. RE Engine's successor, the REX engine, is a response to three things - 1) RE Engine productions getting bigger in terms of assets, and more diverse in terms of genre, 2) RE Engine games being increasingly made by overseas developers who speak different languages, and 3) unflattering comparisons with various commercial tools, like Unreal Engine and Unity.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 hit PlayStation 5 exclusively last week and it's already Sony's fastest-selling first-party game. While we loved the game – read Game Informer's Marvel's Spider-Man 2 here – once players got their hands on the game, some encountered a few bugs and issues, like one where their character model became a small white cube that looks like tofu. Plus, players discovered a Cuban flag was displayed inside and outside the Morales household rather than the expected Puerto Rican flag. A new update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 out today fixes both of these issues and more. 

Remedy has revealed that Alan Wake 2 will get a few additions after release.

Embark Studios’ upcoming team-based first-person shooter, The Finals, is getting a crossplay open beta on PC and consoles tomorrow (October 26), which will add an entirely new mode to the game, as well as a new map.

Here we are again, friends. Deep in the Wednesday grind, but peering ahead for ways to make the weekend awesome. is undoubtedly an improvement over its already-acclaimed predecessors, with a larger map and new gameplay mechanics. However, it did launch without one feature that was included in those titles: New Game Plus. New Game Plus has become a common addition to narrative-driven titles, offering a way for players to revisit the game's story after completing it without having to restart the game from scratch.

The game has also sold more than 1 million copies in 10 days.
