Lost Ark’s move to a single European server region is coming on August 30th, and the team has details on how it will all work.
The region merge will merge Europe West into Europe Central, but no servers will be merged at this time, so all rosters will remain intact. The servers themselves will simply all be in one European region. This doesn’t mean server merges won’t happen later. In originally announcing the region merge, the team said that they’d be examining server conditions and seeing if any of those might be merged but only after the region shift happened.
However, there are things to consider with regards to things like character and guild names and some other details. When it comes to character or guild names, any names from Europe West that are the same as those on current Europe Central servers will be reset. You’ll then have to change your character name when you log in for the first time after the merge. Your friends list will reflect any changed names. Guild names will have a # before their names and leaders will have a guild name change available.
Since the Europe West server region will be no more, any Market or Auction House registrations will be canceled before the merge happens, and all of the transaction history will be deleted. Also being deleted is all chat from Europe West, including chat history and global chat.
The work will also take into account limits and caps on things like tickets and tokens and Powerpasses. If you have any purchased tickets or tokens, they will be added together, but free tickets and tokens will be added together but anything above the cap will be deleted.
Some of the changes will only be relevant if you have characters in both current European regions, including status in progression events.
