Very early in Lords of the Fallen, you’ll start to encounter locked doors — and one of these locked doors requires the Skyrest Bridge Key. This tricky key is incredibly easy to miss. You’ll have to explore a hidden area and use an Umbral Lamp trick you might not even be aware of. Getting the key gives you access to all sorts of shortcuts back to Skyrest, and gives you access to an inferno mage trader. If you’re looking to bolster your magic skills, or just want to fully explore the world of Mournstead, here’s where to get that key.

The Skyrest Bridge Key is a hidden key that unlocks multiple doors in and around Skyrest Bridge, the main hub of Lords of the Fallen. You’ll be able to collect this key soon after reaching the hub — but actually finding it can be extremely tricky. It is very, very well hidden.
That’s the short explanation. For a full guide explaining every step of finding the key, here’s what you need to know.
Exit the temple to the rickety wooden platforms area. Go right and climb down to the lower levels beneath the main platform. There are two ladders.
Jump to the third hanging platform and climb the ladder up to reach a straight path to a large wooden structure built into the side of the stone bridge. Fight through the enemies here and watch out for pilgrims hiding behind debris. They’ll try to push you off the ledge to your death instantly.
Finally, we can get the key. Cross the bridge and look right. There’s an expanse of nothing in the living world. Use the Umbral Lamp to find a bone bridge — use the nearby portal to revive yourself near the fountain if you’re already dead. You need to be in the normal world to reach this key.
Drop down to collect the Faithful Bludgeon from the body below. Enter the Umbral and use Soulflay to pull the bone bridge on this path. To the left, you’ll encounter another huge bridge made of a giant corpse. In the center is a glowing body you can pull with Soulflay. That’s where you’ll find the Skyrest Bridge Key. Two reapers will spawn on both sides of the bridge when you approach the center. Quickly grab the key and run across.
There’s a revival statue on the opposite side. Use it and then go left (over the ramp) to reach an important Skyrest Bridge Key door. This leads to a long path with multiple useful items and a method to unlock a magic vendor.

Stop for a second and picture your favorite video game developer or publisher. It doesn’t matter their “scale” as long as they’re prominent. More than likely, you can name-drop at least one or two people who are the “faces” of that company. For example, Nintendo has Eiji Aonuma, Shigeru Miyamoto, Doug Bowser, etc. Microsoft has Phil Spencer, Sony has/had Jim Ryan, and on it goes. For Bethesda, they have/had many people who have helped define them over the years for one reason or another. Easily, the one that most people know is Todd Howard. He’s the guy who honestly makes the biggest announcements for the company and helps crank out their best games.
If Todd Howard up and left Bethesda, it would "leave a big hole," says Skyrim's lead designer, insisting that the Starfield director has "an attribute that none of the rest of us did."
There’s a totally optional area of Lords of the Fallen you can find when you’re about halfway through your mission in Mournstead. This creepy underground excavation site is where you’ll find a powerful boss — and a method to access a secret bonus ending. We won’t get into the ending here, but we will explain exactly what it takes to access the Revelation Depths area. You’ll find it hiding right beneath the second beacon.
The spooky Bell Rise is an unofficial location in Lords of the Fallen — the only reference to it you’ll find is a map, but it is an area all the same. The area can be unlocked extremely early in the game, and if you visit right away, you’ll be shocked by the difficulty of the standard enemies here. Everything in Bell Rise is designed for higher level characters. I recommend waiting until after you’ve discovered the second beacon at least — maybe even the third beacon.
There’s nothing more devious than Mimics in Lords of the Fallen. Unlike the chests you can test out with a quick attack in other action-RPGs, Mimics are almost impossible to recognize. You can’t listen in for hidden monsters — you’ll just have to use your intuition to see if that item is the real deal or a cruel trap with a killer monster waiting on the other side. Luckily, players have discovered a method that makes dealing with Mimics so much easier. Yes, you can actually destroy Mimics and collect their items. Here’s how to do it.
The first beacon beckons you in Lords of the Fallen. Your first major goal in the story is to defeat the Hushed Saint and reach the first beacon. Your goal in the story is to find and repair five beacons — each one is glowing red in the sky, leading you to an inevitable boss battle. Because the Hushed Saint is such an important boss, he’s also an impressively difficult battle. Unlike the fight against Pieta, you’ll need to learn the value of dodging or you’ll get crushed. Although, there is one very specific moment you’ll want to parry the Hushed Saint to deal maximum damage.
After defeating the first major boss in Lords of the Fallen, multiple areas will finally open up for your Dark Crusader to explore. But you might not even know how to access these areas until you’re much, much further in the game. If you want to get closer to the Fief of the Chill Curse, one of the major areas where you’ll find a beacon and a new massive boss, you’ll need to acquire the Fief Key. Getting the key and figuring out where to use it? That can take a very long time. Here’s everything you need to know.
It's been five years since Todd Howard revealed the startling news that yes, Bethesda is going to make The Elder Scrolls 6, and it will be years yet before it actually arrives. It's a virtually unprecedented gap between a game's «announcement» (such as it was) and tangible evidence that something's being done to make it happen, and Howard himself said not too long ago that he regrets handling the reveal the way he did. The obvious question then is, why announce it at all? According to longtime Bethesda designer Bruce Nesmith, the fans basically bullied him into it.
Lords of the Fallen is seemingly linear until after you defeat the first major boss. Once the Hushed Saint is defeated, you’ll gain an optional path you can follow that leads to advanced challenges you’ll only be able to easily overcome much, much later in the game. If you’re eager to explore new regions of the map or just want to grind vigor on tough enemies, you’ll want to purchase the Pilgrim’s Perch key ASAP. Here’s where to find it and what to do with it after you get it.
One of the first areas of Lords of the Fallen is the Forsaken Fen, and it’s worth checking out completely. The Forsaken Fen is a dreary, poisonous bog that’ll aggravate you like some of the cruelest locations in the Dark Souls series. And like any of these games, there are optional bosses you can fight by exploring the unseen corners of each area. One shortcut route is protected by a powerful Umbral enemy called the Mendacious Visage. This challenging creature can only be fought in the Umbral — and it patrols a unique boss arena with extra enemies you’ll need to take out. Learn how to handle the Mendacious Visage optional boss and clear another path through the upper levels of the Forsaken Fen.
