In Helldivers 2, you can call in a jump pack stratagem that, when equipped, propels you into the air, letting you take the high ground on the go. But what you might not have realised is that it shreds your cape in the process.
"Today I learned: the more you use your jump pack, the more it damages your cape," ErwinDumphrey posted on the game's subreddit. "I glanced at my character after surviving an entire round, all covered in blood, cape in tatters, and thought that was pretty dope. I looked at my fellow Helldivers, none of them had damaged capes. Next dive I tested it out, and sure enough, after a single jump it shows signs of damage."
Your cape will get ruined anyway if you get mauled by bugs or sliced up by robots, but the jump pack significantly speeds up the process. I guess strapping a rocket-propelled booster on top of a flimsy bit of fabric is a bad idea, but it looks cool.
It's not the only transformation you can undergo while doling out democracy, as Helldivers 2's armour is incredibly dynamic. "I once entered a mission with white armour," arat360 commented. "Then I realised halfway through that my armour had changed. It took a solid 10-15 seconds of inspecting it to realise the truth: I was covered in a layer of dried blood."
"When you go close to the 710 pump that's just fountaining that stuff into the air, it will also stain your Helldiver," INeedBetterUsrname replied. "As will the blood of bugs and bots if they die close to you. And of course, your own blood whenever you take damage."
Basically, if you need a quick paint job while you're on a mission, whip out an orbital strike and make it rain guts and gore. And if you want the tattered cape aesthetic to make your Helldiver look grizzly, pop on a jump pack and leap off a cliff.
Helldivers 2 is the sequel to the third-person shooter from Arrowhead Game Studios. This time out, the Helldivers are deep in the Galactic War, and it's up to you to bring Managed Democracy to the masses.

This flexibility, which transfers to most aspects of, has helped propel the game to success along with its chaotically fun gameplay.

It’s easy to find yourself swarmed and overrun in a game like this, particularly on higher difficulties. However, there is a piece of equipment that you can unlock to help you get out of these kinds of situations in a hurry while also improving your overall mobility around the map.
has a lot of enemies that can be frustrating to fight, but one of the most annoying to encounter is actually interesting in a way that none of the others can claim. Enemies in can be divided into two factions – Terminids, which appear as insectoid alien creatures, and Automatons, which are robotic and heavily armored. Both draw on classic science-fiction tropes, with Terminids in particular invoking the Arachnids that show up in, an obvious inspiration for the satirical jingoism of
With (currently) two distinct factions spanning several planets at a time, has plenty of enemies to fight, some of which require specialized strategies or weapons, and all of which can pose a deadly threat if taken too lightly. Among the game's roster of enemies, however, a select few particularly stand out for being difficult to deal with and, especially on higher difficulties, requiring good squad coordination and well-put-together loadouts.
