Being sci-fi shooters that launched on rival platforms, it was inevitable that Helldivers 2 would find itself compared to Halo Infinite. Even more so when Helldivers 2 proved to be a huge, surprise success, a far cry from Halo Infinite's disappointing launch, hardly improved by its ongoing support.

In the face of ongoing conversations about which weapons are the best in the game, Helldivers 2's director has advised players to just "use the one you like the most" because there are so many stats players can't see anyhow.

Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Game Studios has revealed that one developer has the role of 'Game Master,' leaving players in shambles at their power. 

Helldivers 2 continues to sell well. The game had surpassed one million units sold just four days after its February 8 launch. Arrowhead Creative Director Johan Pilestedt has now confirmed it is around three million units just over two weeks after the release.

The third-person shooter has been a success since its release earlier in February, mostly due to its cooperative, challenging, and occasionally chaotic multiplayer. Given the game’s popularity, however, there have been some issues and errors with , especially when it comes to logging in and waiting in line. The major problems concerning those, however, are starting to be addressed, which should make players’ access to the title a whole lot easier.

has been largely praised since its launch, with the sequel to the 2015 co-op shooter also attracting far more players than its predecessor. However, there is still one key area that's holding the game back as a whole, and it's partly caused by this unexpected popularity.
