Hellboy Web of Wyrd Punches Up a PS5, PS4 Release Date in October | Push Square

You’ve been asking for years and the development team has finally listened: Roblox has been confirmed on PS4 and its release date has been revealed. It’s launching very soon indeed!

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second part of Square Enix’s larger Final Fantasy VII Remake project, has locked down a February 2024 release date. During the latest State of Play showcase, Square Enix dropped a new trailer for FF7 Rebirth, and the game is certainly looking impressive.

Disney Dreamlight Valley has a new update in store for September, complete with patch notes and an official release date. While last June saw the introduction of DreamSnaps, the game was lacking in fresh characters and realms. But now, DDV’s next update is bursting with musical furniture, a duo of new characters, and a selection of premium items — all neatly bundled with the addition of a brand-new realm.

Baldur's Gate 3 is out now for PS5, and after bagging itself a Metacritic rating of 96 on PC, it's currently doing one point better on Sony's console. The PS5 version currently commands a 97 on the website, making it the highest-rated game on the system to date. The caveat, of course, is this is only based on nine reviews. However, given the widespread love for the RPG, we doubt the rating is going to drop very much.

With Marvel's Spider-Man 2 set to hit PS5 in just over a month, it's time for Sony to start drumming up some hype — an act which evidently includes sending us the game's limited edition console bundle. It includes a shiny new PS5 complete with Spider-Man 2 covers, and that rather striking black and red DualSense controller. Oh, and a code for the game, of course!

We’re a little over a month away from the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PS5 now, and Insomniac Games is really starting to build the enthusiasm with a selection of character posters showing off some of the key character models from the game. Previously, the Burbank developer showed off Peter Parker and Miles Morales in their respective suits – and now it’s followed up with a couple of villain renders.

If the last Hellboy film left you cold on the franchise, the new game – Hellboy: Web of Wyrd – might just have you rekindling what you love about the character and world all over again.

Trepang2 is an absolutely mental first-person shooter that released on PC earlier in the year, and now it's coming to PS5 on the 2nd October. Playing as a super solider with a seemingly insatiable hunger for blood and guts, there's a clear emphasis on completely over-the-top gameplay. You can slow time, pluck helpless enemies off their feet, and generally just massacre anything that stands in your way. Trepang2 was well received on Steam, where its relatively fresh brand of chaos won over a lot of players.

Anticipated sequel Ghostrunner 2 now has a confirmed release date on PS5. The adrenaline-fueled action-platformer will dash to Sony's current-gen console on the 26th October, and you can get a better look at its brand of cyberpunk violence in the new gameplay trailer, embedded above.

Confirming a leak from earlier in the year, Sonic Superstars will indeed be heading our way on 17th October, 2023. Flippin' heck, October is busy.

Update: Tekken 8 will indeed release on the 26th January, as per the game's latest trailer.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is the latest game from developer FromSoftware, and we got our best look yet in an expansive overview trailer, and not a moment too soon. Armored Core VI is out today, 25th August, on PS5 and PS4.
