God of War Ragnarok's Free DLC Will Add New PS5, PS4 Trophies | Push Square

It looks as though Bandai Namco is doing a lot with its horror platformer series, Little Nightmares, this year. In addition to the upcoming Little Nightmares 3, it seems a remaster of the first game is also on the way.

The UK's final weekly chart of 2023 for physical games is here, and it's Hogwarts Legacy that takes the top spot as the year comes to a close. However, WB Games' open world Harry Potter title has achieved more than that — as reported by GamesIndustry, it's the UK's best-selling boxed game of 2023 overall. Usually, that title goes to EA Sports and its annual football game, but Hogwarts Legacy won out over EA Sports FC 24, ending a 10-year streak.

The outrageously overpriced microtransactions for Fortnite’s new arcade racing game Rocket Racing have dramatically dropped, following robust criticism from the game’s community. Epic Games originally intended to flog a single car for 4,000 V-Bucks, which would cost you around £27.99/$29.99, albeit with leftover in-game currency.

Santa Monica Studios' free God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla DLC is proving to be much more than merely a tacked-on roguelike experience, surprising players with its narrative heft and implications for Kratos and the future of the God of War franchise. Santa Monica didn't do itself any favours by mainly focusing on the mechanical in its unveiling trailer, but you can't keep a good story down.

The wait for Suikoden spiritual successor, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, has felt like an eternity, although in reality, it was only revealed in 2020. Regardless, the release of the successful Kickstarter project (fronted by former Suikoden developers) is finally on the horizon, out on 23rd April on PS5 and PS4, and in a new trailer, we get our most extensive look at the game yet.

Kratos’ voice actor Christopher Judge has p*ssed off the Call of Duty team, after he roasted Modern Warfare 3’s campaign prior to presenting the Best Performance award at this year’s The Game Awards. The actor – who infamously rambled for several minutes when he grabbed a gong last year – said: “Fun fact, my speech was actually longer than this year’s Call of Duty campaign.”

There's little doubt that 2023 has been an amazing year for new releases. We've had some absolute corkers over the last 12 months, but now it's time to start looking ahead to what is shaping up to be another huge year for PS5 gaming.
