Well, it's been quite some time since we wrote about Ghost of Tsushima updates, but the open world action game has a new patch on PS5 and PS4. As outlined by developer Sucker Punch, update 2.19 tweaks the title for crossplay support, ahead of the PC version's release on the 16th May. PlayStation users will be able to team up with PC players in the game's co-op Legends mode.
Patch 2.19 also addresses «an XP issue at rank 999 in Legends», «an exploit allowing an extra player on two-person teams», and bundles in some «additional fixes».
Ghost of Tsushima is shaping up to be a hit on PC, given that it rocketed up the Steam sales charts after pre-orders were opened back in March. It'll be interesting to see whether the influx of new players revitalises the title's aforementioned Legends mode.

Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, he's played 'em all — a little too much, some might say.
I can already see Sony asking all their gaming studios to incorporate PC cross play in all games on Day 1 as exclusivity becomes a thing of the past.
@OnlyGaming sounds good
Crossplay? Oh cool, I look forward to seeing this on Xbox!
(that's a joke guys, don't eat me)
I’m strongly against any cross play with PC, cause this means constantly meeting cheaters. Modders as they name themselves nowadays… Let them mode each other’s ass.
Remember folks, Sony's games require a paid subscription to play online on PS5, but are FREE on PC. And PC gets the better version of the games.
If players can make it all the way to level 999, let them have an extra player or do whatever they want. It would take hundreds of hours to grind that high. Legends is an amazing part of the game but playing to that level would be incredibly repetitive as there's only so many levels and you need to replay them over and over.
@Soulless666 Its co-op so thats all good, they can carry PS players with the mods
I wish they would have crossgen progression mode in Legends, annoying I had to start progress again from platform to platform
@TrickyDicky99 yup. thats why my ps5 is mostly just «for show» now. its sad, but sony doesn't care, they're still making good profit somehow.
@Vivisapprentice there is also Rivals mode where they kick your ass
@ShogunRok
I booted this up today and every 20 seconds or so it now stutters. Was playing it yesterday and it was all fine, 60 hours of gameplay and no
