Movies have seen many remakes, prequels, and sequels in the past few years, but one we are dying to see is of course Jason Blum’s Spawn reimagination. The comic book adaptation has been in the works for quite some time, but due to the writer's strike, a clash of actor scheduling, and budget issues, the project has been put on hold for quite some time. However, Blum has finally spoken out and given us some insight into when we can expect Spawn to rise up onto our screens.

Former Twitter Trust and Safety Head, Yoel Roth, who resigned last year after a run-in with billionaire owner Elon Musk, has issued a stark warning to X (formerly Twitter) about its precarious position concerning the European Union's Digital Services Act (DSA) as well as its safety policies. Speaking at the recent Code Conference 2023, Roth, was interviewed by Kara Swisher. Roth highlighted X's withdrawal from the EU's Code of Practice on Disinformation in May and cited Commissioner Vera Jourova's accusation that the platform is a major disinformation spreader. Roth believes that a confrontation with EU regulators is now inevitable, given the DSA's severe penalties of up to 6% of global annual turnover for breaches. However, while that issue is still simmering, what really caught the eye was the poignant and stark reminder of what happened to Roth after the run-ins with Musk, including death threats that even forced him to sell his house and move in order to stay safe. Roth said these death threats were "inspired by the company's leader".

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, at the Connect 2023 on September 27, announced that Roblox will be officially launched on the new Meta Quest 3 and will be available for download immediately from the Quest Store. The announcement is considered monumental because around 66 million players join Roblox daily on average, making the footfall for the app extremely high. For the unaware, Zuckerberg in July announced that an open beta version of Roblox would be available for a limited time, following which it would be officially launched. Now, it is finally available on the Quest 3.

Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO and president Jim Ryan is retiring from his position leading the PlayStation business, Sony announced Wednesday. Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier first reported the news Wednesday afternoon before Sony published its news release. Ryan will step down in March 2024 after 30 years at Sony and PlayStation.
