Last year, we took a look at the Flexispot Odin, a four-legged standing desk, and were impressed by its excellent stability. That desk was quite expensive at $900, however, and was out of many people’s price range. Flexispot is back with an answer: the Flexispot E7 Plus. Like the Odin, it features a four-legged design and an impressive 540 pounds of lifting power. It also offers more customization options to help ensure it matches your space and surface area needs. At $629, it’s reasonably priced and overall good pick for your pricey computer components.
If you’re anything like me, you spend a lot of time at your desk. For years, I didn’t think twice about how much I was sitting. Until one day, I had the opportunity to review a standing desk converter. It was a big, dual level tray that would sit upon your desk and had a lever to raise and lower it. At the time, I didn’t think much of it and chalked it up to an assignment. But that one accessory changed my working life.
The thing that converter taught me is that even if you’re not dead-set on standing all the time, simply having the option to was freeing. Throughout my day, I have the urge to stretch my legs. This break would destroy my flow and when I sat down again, I could count on at least ten minutes to get back into the headspace I was in before. I’m also a teacher and often come to my desk to make notes on a document camera and then quickly circulate back amongst my students. Having to sit down to write, then stand back up again to circulate was cumbersome.
Both of these things seem small. I didn’t even really notice them until that converter gave me the option of standing or not sitting for a quick pit-stop to the document camera. But that simple converter taught me that it’s nice to have the option to stand.
I share this because, at this point, I was the guy that thought standing desks and converters were for ergo-heads. Now, I couldn’t imagine going back to a normal desk. I have a standing desk at home and at work and routinely change position whether I’m working or playing games.
And thanks to companies like Flexispot, it’s now possible to get a standing desk at a very reasonable price. It has entry-level desks for as low as $160. Desks that offer drawers and built-in phone chargers. And, of course, higher-end models with more powerful motors, better stability, and exceptionally long 15-year warranties.

The newly-released day one PlayStation Plus Extra game Animal Well is now one of the highest-rated video games of the year. Compared to competitor Xbox Game Pass, it's relatively rare for PlayStation Plus Extra to add day one games. However, there are indeed times when PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers are treated to brand-new, day one releases, with some fantastic games added as day one releases in the past.
iFi Audio is one of the biggest names in the audiophile space. Its products routinely make best-of lists and push the limits on sound quality, features, and power for their size. We’ve put its latest product, the iFi GO Bar Kensei through its paces, seeing just what it has to offer over the original GO Bar. It’s a tiny, very pocketable DAC/amp that puts out a surprising amount of power — enough for most over-ear headphones, let alone in-ear monitors (IEMs) — and supports advanced features like sound customization with filters and its own X-Bass and X-Space enhancements, as well as JVCKENWOOD’s K2HD upscaling tech. It exists on the high end of the dongle DAC price spectrum, but if you want an audiophile experience on the go, it delivers.
PlayStation Plus subscribers have one last chance to claim the free PS Plus games for April 2024, even though it's already May 6. New PlayStation Plus free games are rotated in on a monthly basis. The previous PS Plus free games are available until the first Tuesday of the following month, and so Monday, May 6 marks the last day that subscribers can snag the free games that were available in April 2024.
Sony recently added a free trial for one of the most controversial games of 2024 to PlayStation Plus Premium, meaning members of the service can give Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League a shot without having to spend a single extra penny. Though some may have preferred a more well-received game to be added instead, trials like these allow PlayStation Plus players to test out divisive games and make judgments for themselves on titles they may not have touched otherwise.
Unfortunately for PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers, it seems an additional seven games are leaving the service, bringing the total to a whopping 34 games that are on their way out. PlayStation Plus Extra games are removed on a monthly basis, but 34 is still a lot of games to see go removed all at one time. All 34 games are expected to be removed from the PlayStation Plus Extra tier on Tuesday, May 21.
PlayStation Plus is offering up yet another collection of stellar games for its users in May and one of them may just be one of the most underrated adventure games in recent memory. While subscribers to the service can look forward to mega-hits like the ever-popular , the latest chapter in the shooter's sprawling saga, it's the small independent games that often make the service stand out. One of the benefits of receiving a random assortment of new titles to play every month is that users can find gems that they otherwise may have missed.
Over the last couple of years, ASUS has really stepped up its game when it comes to its gaming keyboards. Since last year, it has released two veritable bangers: the ROG Azoth and the ROG Strix Scope II 96. Both dramatically exceeded expectations, expertly walking the line between enthusiast keyboards and gaming keyboards. The ROG Falchion RX is a different beast, embracing a compact form factor and a low-profile design. But despite its differences, it also embraces the same enthusiasts and excellent performance that made those other keyboards so appealing. At $170, it's definitely on the expensive side and won’t be for everyone, but if you’re a fan of compact keys or are already in the ROG ecosystem, it’s worth a closer look.
I\O Audio is a new brand aiming to launch with a bang. Its first product, the I\O Audio Volare is certainly impressive. At $599, it features a tribrid design consisting of one dynamic driver, four balanced armatures, and four electrostatic drivers. This type of configuration is found in some of the highest-end IEMs on the market and usually starts north of $700 and extends into the multiple thousands. Certainly Golden Ears territory, it still manages to feel like a good value in the category it’s competing in. If you’re looking for a grat balance of punchy bass and sparkly treble, this is a great set to consider.
