Final Fantasy meets Frasier in this no-joke, completely real JRPG mashup based on a 3-year-old sitcom gag

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will continue the FFVII remake trilogy with a more open world-like design. To that end, Naoki Hamaguchi, one of the game's directors, admitted he took inspiration from Western games like CD Projekt RED's The Witcher and Guerrilla Games' Horizon.

Final Fantasy XI is still going after 21 years, though in a version of maintenance mode that still includes monthly refreshes and occasional special new content. Some of that new content is on the way, including a crossover Alliance raid with Final Fantasy XIV ’s Dawntrail expansion.

Final Fantasy XIV has updated its minisite dedicated tothe Growing Light patch series, with more from 6.51, as well as Fan Festival London reveal, Aloalo Island. The game is also launching a collaboration with colorful battle royale game Fall Guys just in time for Halloween.

The anticipation for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth grows with every week that goes by and every piece of news that gets put out for it. In the game, we’ll finally get to set foot outside of Midgar and see the world of Gaia for the most part. Square Enix has already highlighted certain cities and areas we’ll visit, including the final “fateful” location that will end the game. But there are still many mysteries surrounding the title that we won’t get answered until we play it. For example, there’s the issue with Zack Fair and his role in the remake saga.

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV will feature a Final Fantasy XVI crossover in the run-up to the Dawntrail expansion. This event will bring familiar monsters and loot from FF16 into FFXIV, including a fight with Ifrit and mounts based on Torgal.

So, if you haven’t heard, some big things are going down in Final Fantasy XIV. Not only is a new expansion coming that will help start a new story and give players even more things to do, but a new collaboration will make Square Enix fans happy. Specifically, a collaboration with the most recent entry from the beloved RPG series will happen as Clive Rosfield arrives in the game and joins the Warriors of Light! Even more specifically, there’s a questline that is called “The Path Infernal,” and it’s there that you can meet Clive and battle monsters that appear to be like Eikons. When it comes to games coming out in 2024, it will be hard to top the hype for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. It took quite a while for the original remake title to be released on PS4, but once it did, it was rather legendary. Square Enix put everything they could into this remake saga so that it would stand out visually, have advanced gameplay mechanics, and still feel like the original, but be expanded in ways they couldn’t do before. The result was one of the system’s best titles, and now, the sequel has the same hype attached to it.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will feature what is likely the most well-known event of the original, and of JRPGs in general, and it sounds like it will be surprising even for those who played the original.
