Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's Performance Mode Visuals Will Be Fixed Before Launch

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's recently released demo has gone down a treat with most people, giving us a taste of what's to come by letting us journey as Cloud and Sephiroth on their way to Nibelheim's reactor. However, those who have decided to play the demo in Performance Mode for that smooth 60fps gameplay have been less than impressed with the game's graphics, which are notably worse than that of even Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
Many examples have been shared on social media of blurry textures and dodgy lighting, which have led to concerns that the whole of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will also have strange graphical issues. Thankfully, Square Enix has been pretty quick to acknowledge the issues and has promised via Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's official Twitter account that these problems will be fixed when the demo's next update is rolled out on February 21.
In case you weren't aware, the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo will be updated on February 21, when a new portion of the game will be added for players to try out. This section will have players exploring a portion of the Junon region with Cloud and the gang, giving us a taste of the game's open world. It's at the same time that this Performance Mode patch will be dropping, so you'll be able to dive into this new demo with the visuals all fixed and a better idea of how the finished product will look.
Quite how Square Enix managed to goof up the visuals of a demo, only they will be able to tell you, but at least the issue has been acknowledged and will be fixed ahead of launch. We can now all expect Cloud and the gang, as well as the world of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth itself, to look as good as possible in either mode when the game launches on February 29.
That's only two short weeks for all of you currently hunkered down trying to avoid spoilers, which have reportedly been circulating now that copies of the game are out in the wild.
