It took some time, but CD Projekt Red's troubled RPG finally has as much substance as it has style, in no small thanks to the recent Phantom Liberty DLC and patch 2.0.

's greatly expands on the Perk tree, including a whole new branch of Relic skills. This new section is unlocked almost immediately after starting the DLC. After meeting the Netrunner Songbird in its opening chapters and agreeing to work with her, V is called to speak with her once more. Songbird grants them access to the Relic tree, also providing three starter Relic Points to subsidize their first new skill. Additional Relic Points can be found at Militech Data Terminals throughout 's map.
The Relic tree is mostly focused on making 's Cyberware the best it can be. Each Perk in the tree applies to at least one specific type of Cyberware (sometimes more), buffing its base function or adding a completely new one. Some Relic Perks can be indispensable for one or two types of builds, while others are more versatile and can be used by everyone. However, their applicability to just a handful of different Cyberware components means that Relic Perks can also be limiting. Here are the nine Relic Perks available in, ordered from worst to best.

Launch Capacity Overdrive, a Sub-Perk of the main Relic skill Jailbreak, is both the least effective and least interesting item on the Relic tree. It only works on the Projectile Launch System, an arm-installed Cyberware component that lets the player character, well, launch projectiles. Launch Capacity Overdrive adds a single charge to the PLS, which can deal some extra damage and provide a bigger spread. But it has limited usefulness for just one or two builds that rely almost completely on the dual-wielding effect provided by this piece of Cyberware. Even then, this Perk is just kind of boring, and doesn't change the gameplay all that much.
Limiter Removal is another Sub-Perk of Jailbreak, only this time, it works on Gorilla Arms. Jailbreak tacks an additional mechanic onto these already powerful instruments of smashing: a charge bar that fills up every time V takes a swing. Once they're completely charged, a strong attack with the Gorilla Arms does massive damage, and also creates a shockwave that staggers nearby enemies. When V takes Limiter Removal on top of that, the charged attack is further boosted, knocking over everyone in range. This one is handy for crowd control, but is reliant on another Relic Perk. And for those who don't wear Gorilla Arms, it's completely useless.
This one's for the hackers. Data Tunneling is the third of four Jailbreak Sub-Perks, and focuses on the quickhack feature that allows V to get an upper hand in combat. Whenever they quickhack an enemy with a program loaded onto their Monowire Cyberware, then use a multi-target attack with that same

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty players really wish they could romance one character in particular.
's DLC is full of choices that V must make — and these decisions can ultimately affect which ending players get. In fact, some options can even lock players out of s true new ending, and one of these factors includes deciding to kill Solomon Reed or agreeing to his deal. This occurs extremely late in the game, but it will have a major impact on the ending, so knowing which choice is correct is important.
Early in the DLC's main story for, V is faced with a difficult choice without a lot of time to make a well-thought-out decision. As is often the case with much of the game, there are many decisions that have to be handled which can affect other things down the line, and particularly when trying to roleplay it can be hard to know what the right choice is. Dogtown residents Jacob and Taylor may talk tough, but whether they deserve the maximum punishment for their actions is ultimately up to the player to decide.
There’s one incredibly powerful Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty gun you need to snag, and it’s actually really easy to get. With so many extra weapons to choose from in the new Cyberpunk DLC from CD Projekt Red, we’ve discovered one that you can get with basically no effort that offers up not just a solid gun but allows for a fair bit of customization too.
When it comes to cyberpunk, I'm a simpleton: I'm always chasing the initial radioactive wave of cool that emanated from the pages of William Gibson's Neuromancer and its prequel short story Johnny Mnemonic. When I saw the monowire cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077, I knew it was the weapon for me, and I was even more excited when Cyberpunk director Gabe Amatangelo recommended a particular monowire build to me, capitalizing on all the changes to Cyberpunk's skill system in 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, in an interview this week.
Here's how to get the Errata Thermal Katana whether you own Phantom Liberty or not.
Cyberpunk 2077's first (and last) expansion is out now on PS5. Phantom Liberty adds a whole new storyline and district to CD Projekt Red's open world RPG, and the initial reception has been incredibly positive. Of course, it helps that the base game has been significantly improved with Update 2.0 — which dropped just five days ago at the time of writing.
One of the best weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 is available right at the start of the Phantom Liberty DLC — but to get it, you’ll need to make one very specific choice. The side jobs in Dog Town all have very different conclusions based on your choices, and some of the best weapons are easily missable. This is one of those weapons. If you want to get your hands on an extremely useful Assault Rifle that you’ll be used for the rest of the expansion, here’s how to get it.
Cyberpunk 2077 is, finally, having its big launch moment. On Tuesday, buoyed by the 2.0 patch and expansion Phantom Liberty, the game hit its highest peak playercount since 2020. We loved Phantom Liberty, saying in our review that it's "CD Projekt firing on all cylinders to tell a great RPG story." It's been a long but impressive comeback for Cyberpunk, and the fact that the game is finally getting universal praise made me wonder if CD Projekt was reconsidering its plan to move on to a new game. After all, The Witcher 3's Hearts of Stone was good, but Blood & Wine was even better…
With the free 2.0 update and the Phantom Liberty expansion including Path Tracing, Cyberpunk 2077 has again set a new benchmark for PC gaming. This new Cyberpunk 2077 Path Tracing mod makes the game even more demanding.
