As we head into the final month of the year, Sony is looking to treat their monthly subscribers with a fresh trio of games to download, with three unique titles that should please those who were lucky enough to be gifted a PlayStation this holiday season.
Starting on December 5, PlayStation Plus subscribers can check out LEGO 2K Drive, an open world racing adventure featuring everyone’s favorite buildable bricks. Set in the land of Bricktopia, players can customize their ride and take part in an expansive story mode to compete for the Sky Trophy. Whether you want to play solo, explore the world alongside a local friend, or take the racing action online with up to five other players via crossplay, there’s plenty of minigames, side missions and collectibles to uncover in addition to the plethora of races and Cup Series available. Our review found plenty to praise with LEGO 2K Drive, claiming “it plays great, is the best-looking LEGO game yet and has fantastic sound design across the board”.
Next up is the surprise indie hit PowerWash Simulator, which took PC players by storm before making its way onto consoles earlier this year. The gameplay pretty much lives up to its title, as players can team with friends to clean the dirt and grime off of various environments and objects such as vehicles and buildings. Classified as a “clean ‘em up”, the game also offers upgrades to improve various aspects of your power washer to help take on larger surfaces with greater efficiency. The free and premium DLC lineup for the game is filled with licensed tie-ins, enabling you to clean iconic parts of the worlds of Back to the Future, SpongeBob SquarePants, Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy.
The last title joining the service next week is Sable, a relaxing open world adventure with a memorable art style. As the titular character, players will take part in a rite of passage known as the Gliding which will take you across vast deserts filled with ancient wonders to uncover on the planet of Midden. Thanks to Sable’s hoverbike and climbing prowess, their journey will take players to small villages and long lost ruins, with the game’s soundtrack being composed by indie pop band Japanese Breakfast. Solve puzzles, complete side quests and chat with other nomads as you search for a new mask and attempt to complete the Gliding in this PS5 exclusive.
All three titles will be available for PlayStation Plus members at any tier starting on December 5 and running through January 1.
