Let's be honest, some of the best and most interesting characters in fiction are the villains. Whether it be Darth Vader, Thanos, or anyone in between, while their motives and actions might be downright despicable, they're some of the most famous characters to ever grace the big screen for a reason. You don't often get the chance to play the villain though, and that's what makes Disney's Villainous so unique. A tabletop game where you step into the baddie's shoes and try to have the plot of their movie play out differently.
Villainous's base game naturally comes with an array of different Disney characters and expansions have been added to that roster since. Now the game is about to get its very first taste of Halloweentown. Announced earlier this year, Villainous's Filled With Fright expansion brings Oogie Boogie into the mix. The primary antagonist from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and in Villainous, your job is to help Oogie Bookie thwart Jack Skellington and get away with his Sandy Claws kidnapping.

Ravensburger's game development manager Milke Mulvihill revealed Oogie Boogie is one of Villainous players' most requested characters. That certainly makes a lot of sense, especially when you consider the time of year Nightmare Before Christmas is most commonly associated. Halloween's coming up and then Christmas will follow soon after, and since it's launching on October 1, the Filled With Fright expansion will be here just in time for both.
Disney Villainous: Filled With Fright expansion adds Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas to the table top game. The expansion also includes a new realm based on locations from the movie as well as 30 new villain cards, a glow-in-the-dark Oogie Boogie movie, and dice modeled after the ones the villain uses in the film.
Filled With Fright's Oogie Boogie mover glows in the dark, so I'd recommend playing with the lights turned down (if you dare), and in a first for Villainous, the Target exclusive expansion also comes with its very own special edition dice. Modeled after the ones Oogie Boogie rolls in the movie. The expansion also comes with a new realm, 30 villain cards, 15 fate cards, and ten tokens. You will need the base game in order to use the expansion.
Villainous's Filled With Fright expansion will be the seventh time the tabletop game's roster has been built on since launch as Oogie Boogie will join, and compete against, the likes of Gaston, Scar, and Captain Hook. Earlier this year Villainous's Introduction To Evil special edition was released. A perfect way to get into the game, and Filled With Fright is the perfect way to expand on it in time for the holidays. The expansion

Yes, Kingdom Hearts 4 might officially be in development, but for now, there is no telling when the next game in the series will actually be here. If that's exactly what you need to bridge the gap between games right now, then you can pre-order Square Enix's light-up Keyblade on Amazon.

The epic second chapter in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy was also given a release date of February 29, 2024. If five more months is too long to wait for more from the series, Square Enix is offering up the opportunity to shave a month off that time and experience some of what the game has to offer early.
We'll admit it, pre-ordering deals is a novel approach to the upcoming discounting season but we'll give this Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Nintendo Switch bundle a pass.
