Diablo 4 Patch Notes: Patch 1.2.0 - Class Changes, New Aspects and Uniques, Experience Updates

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 hit PlayStation 5 exclusively last week and it's already Sony's fastest-selling first-party game. While we loved the game – read Game Informer's Marvel's Spider-Man 2 here – once players got their hands on the game, some encountered a few bugs and issues, like one where their character model became a small white cube that looks like tofu. Plus, players discovered a Cuban flag was displayed inside and outside the Morales household rather than the expected Puerto Rican flag. A new update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 out today fixes both of these issues and more. 

The Diablo 4 Blood Harvest is going well, with the community already having met the first goal, unlocking themed weapon skins for all. 

Hexworks are making some pretty comprehensive adjustments to fantasy Soulslike RPG Lords of the Fallen, rejigging the AI so that enemies won't pursue you quite as far when you run past them, and patching how the New Game Plus options work to give players more control over the difficulty curve. The game's latest patch, out now, allows you to choose whether to progress to a harder NG+ setting after finishing a run, or restart at the same difficulty threshold while retaining your character and progression.

Blizzard has put a halt to trading in Diablo 4 while it works to fix a duplication exploit that came to light over the weekend, and warned that players caught taking advantage of the bug could find themselves in trouble.

Square Enix has revealed several new announcements at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2023 in London as part of a deeper look into its upcoming expansion, Dawntrail. This includes a new Viper job alongside a Final Fantasy XI crossover raid and a Final Fantasy XVI crossover called “The Path Infernal.” Additionally, an open beta test for the Xbox Series X|S version is scheduled for mid-January to February 2024.

Developer Poncle has released the latest free update to its hit bullet hell game just in time for the holidays, though it may not be for the holiday that players expect. The Whiteout patch for Vampire Survivors gives gamers on Steam, Xbox, and mobile devices access to a slew of new content for the indie title, with the Nintendo Switch version of the game set to receive the update in the near future.

Microsoft has revealed a plethora of new accessibility updates designed to make gaming more inclusive for disabled players as part of its October celebration of the disabled gaming community. Sony has been following Microsoft's lead, announcing more options for disabled gamers in the form of new, accessibility focussed controllers, but now we're seeing more of this inclusivity being brought into Windows and PC gaming specifically. 

Remedy Entertainment is releasing Alan Wake 2 next week, on October 27, and while there's still time to replay (or play for the first time) Alan Wake before its sequel is out, October is a stacked month, and time might not be on your side. Alan Wake: Flashback might help, though, as it's a new Unreal Editor for Fortnite experience that gives players the chance to relive the mysteries and events of the first Alan Wake, albeit presumably in a much shorter and more streamlined fashion.

The already ludicrously deep Dave the Diver got its first content update yesterday, bringing a surfeit of improvements to the undersea management sim and, crucially, introducing the spellbinding notion of the «Lobster Party».
