Blizzard has dropped the details on update 1.2.0 for Diablo 4, which is set to release next week, on the 17th October. All in all, this is looking like another step in the right direction, with a slew of positive changes coming to itemisation, character builds, and the structure of endgame content.
It feels like Diablo 4 has struggled to stay in the general gaming conversation over the last few months. The action RPG undoubtedly impressed at launch back in June, but more hardcore players quickly found problems — especially when it came to post-campaign content. Its seasonal stuff didn't hit as hard as it should have, either, and so Blizzard's been playing catch-up ever since.
Still, it's big updates like this that can give the title a shot in the arm. The new patch notes are massive so we won't be posting everything on this page for the sake of our sanity, but we've gathered the main points for you below:

Getting small percentile damage bonuses to very situational based gameplay is not rewarding. Also I'm too stupid and lazy to figure out the difference of damage with frost vs damage with cold. Or all the crowd controlling nonsense how there's like 10 different affixes for damage while immobilized, injured, stunned, trapped etc. But hey, sounds like they have fixed resistances 4 months after launch.....maybe.
@Northern_munkey just hit 500 hours. Got my Druid to 100 and my barbarian to 80 in season 1. My buddy i play co-op with has a 100 necro. We are shredding everything. So much fun. Can’t wait for season 2. Not much else coming out that i am excited about. So i will log a ton of time in season 2, the changes and season look really good.
I played this solidly for the first few months and finished the campaign, but bounced off the season mode stuff pretty quickly. With so many other games to play right now though — including Spiderman 2 next week! — I
