Another new Epic Games Store scheme which will see developers getting a 100% revenue share for the first six months has been announced.
The Now on Epic programme was revealed on Monday to coincide with the launch of the Epic First Run scheme.
Announced in August, Epic First Run lets developers claim 100% of revenue if they agree to make their game exclusive on the Epic Games Store for six months.
After the six months are up, the game will revert to the standard Epic Games Store revenue split of 88% for the developer and 12% for Epic Games.
The same financial terms are being offered to developers and publishers who participate in a newly announced back catalogue incentive scheme, Now On Epic.
“This program is open to developers and publishers with registered Epic Games developer accounts and eligible products that launched on another storefront or service before October 31, 2023,” Epic said.
“Any product that has been previously released and is currently live on another third-party PC store or included in a third-party subscription service available on another third-party PC store [is eligible].
“If you have three or more products on a third-party store or third-party subscription service, you must bring at least three of them to Epic Games Store. If you have less than three, you must bring all of those products to Epic Games Store.”
Participants can enrol in the scheme until December 31, 2024, and all eligible products must be released on the Epic Games Store by June 30, 2025.
Last month, Epic announced plans to lay off around 830 employees, or 16% of its total workforce.
It will be increasing the price of Fortnite V-Bucks and some real money content packs later this month, and will start charging for the use of Unreal Engine outside of video game development next year.

If you want some early Tango Gameworks horror, you can pick up 2014’s The Evil Within for free through Epic Games Store right now. However, the offer won’t be on forever, so you best pick up a copy before it’s too late.
This spooky season, consider The Evil Within, the debut horror-action game from Resident Evil co-creator Shinji Mikami and the debut game from Tango Gameworks. This flawed but frightening horror game is currently free to download (and keep) on the Epic Games Store — and is available through both an Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra subscription on consoles.
The Epic Games Store is bleeding money, but it's also still bleeding free games, and a couple of good ones are on the line right now. This week you can pick up The Evil Within, the hit survival horror game headed up by original Resident Evil director Shinji Mikami, and next week it'll be the sequel, The Evil Within 2. This is the first time that either of The Evil Within games have gone free on Epic, so you'll probably want to grab them while you can.

Ever since the Epic Games Store first launched back in 2018 and became a mainstay in the PC gaming market, a large number of Steam users have been reluctant to get on board. Most of that is down to the sheer number of different launchers publishers force PC users to download to play certain titles, but the Epic Games Store is particularly controversial as it's set itself up as Steam's main rival.
