Following the Final Shape developer stream, Bungie releases even more details on Destiny 2's upcoming Prismatic subclass including all the available abilities, fragments, and more. It was a huge week for fans of Bungie's online shooter as the studio's planned final livestream event showcased a lot of big details for Destiny 2's upcoming Final Shape expansion. Fans saw the confirmation of a new enemy faction called The Dread, brand-new exotic class armor that lets players combine perks from other exotic armor, as well as more gameplay from inside The Pale Heart zone.
However, the biggest reveal for many fans was the new Prismatic subclass option coming to Destiny 2 inside of The Final Shape. Unlike the other subclasses, what makes Prismatic unique is that it's highly customizable, letting players mix and match both Light and Dark abilities together for some truly weird and wild options. While the livestream only hinted at what would be possible, Bungie's latest blog provided a wealth of new details, including a list of all available abilities for each class.
As expected, Bungie confirmed that the Super, melee, grenade, and Aspect slots have a selection of available Light and Dark abilities across all five damage types. Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks can also select from all available movement modes and class abilities, including subclass-specific ones like Phoenix Dive, Acrobat’s Dodge, and Thruster. As players delve into The Final Shape, Destiny 2's Prismatic subclass will have a starting build that can later be swapped and changed. Hunters start with a build intended to highlight being evasive and maneuverable, while Titans will be able to disable enemies for a high-impact follow-up. Finally, Warlocks take on a summoner style role that is able to lock down large areas, deal damage, and trigger passive bonuses like Feed the Void.
In addition to revealing details for each of Destiny 2's Prismatic subclasses, the blog post also went into greater detail regarding the new Transcendence mechanic that this class will have access to. As players learned, a new meter for both light and dark will fill as damage is dealt or buffs applied. Once filled, players can activate Transcendence, which provides melee and grenade regeneration, resistance to incoming damage, as well as bonus weapon damage. In addition to boosts, each class gains a new grenade that deals both Light and Dark damage.
The final piece to this blog was the discussion of Fragments, with Bungie confirming that the Prismatic subclass will have 21 in total, a major increase from the typical 14-16 for Light and Darkness subclasses in Destiny 2.To help support this major increase, most Prismatic Aspect Fragments slots have been increased to 3, and
