Cyberpunk 2077 Adds DLSS 3.5 Support This Week

Along with the announcement of Cyberpunk 2077 topping 25 million copies sold, CD Projekt RED also confirmed strong sales figures for Phantom Liberty. After launching on September 26th, the expansion sold three million copies in its first week on consoles and PC.

And the main game has climbed to 25 million copies sold.

CD Projekt RED has said a few times now that Phantom Liberty is to be Cyberpunk 2077’s one and only expansion, and as you may have expected, that still remains the plan now, in spite of the success that the developer is enjoying in the aftermath of the expansion and the base game’s impressive overhaul with Update 2.0.

The latest AMD Radeon driver download has just been released by team red. AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 23.9.3 adds support for several new releases, including CS2, Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, and Payday 3.

Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 launched last week, and fans have been poring over newly added content to find all the Easter eggs CD Projekt Red has crammed in.

Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty expansion on PC have introduced NVIDIA's DLSS 3.5, which consists of Ray Reconstruction, a new feature available to all GeForce RTX GPU owners to increase the fidelity of ray tracing when upscaling from a lower rendering resolution.

Cyberpunk 2077's latest version 2.0 update adds two new arcade machines, joining Roach Race added last year. Now, we can also play through Trauma Drama, as well as Arasaka Tower 3D - a boomer shooter very clearly inspired by Doom.

UPDATE: Digital Foundry has just completed its review of Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 on PC, with a strong focus on the new ray tracing innovations added to the game in the form of DLSS 3.5 ray reconstruction. This new technology aims to drastically improve denoising. With current forms of RT, rays are traced — but they are limited in number compared to reality, producing a 'noisy' image that requires processing to increase coherency. Different effects may require different denoisers and all of them are tuned by human input. Ray reconstruction aims to take that task out of the hands of the developers, relying on machine learning to do a better and faster job.

The 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 is out, and it contains a ton of changes big and small to CD Projekt Red’s RPG world. But hidden away in 2077 is a reference just for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners fans, and an especially emotional one at that.
