Various hands-on impressions and new gameplay for Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth have gone live as Tokyo Game Show 2023 kicks off. Two portions of the game are showcased – Fated Beginnings: Cloud and Sephiroth, which takes place in the past and The World of FF7 Rebirth: Junon Area, set after the events of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Microsoft is gearing up for its highly anticipated "special event" on September 21 in New York City. It has left the tech world buzzing with excitement. Solar activity has been on the rise, with recent developments stoking concerns about potential repercussions for our planet. The Genshin Impact Version 4.1 livestream premiered today, revealing all of the new features we can expect in the upcoming update. Insomniac Games has given us a closer look at the Super Hero and Super Villains cast with new character posters. And today, you can get a deeper dive into the game’s combat, activities, story and more thanks to an extensive hands-on we had with a preview build of the game, bolstered by further insight from key staff who worked on the project – Senior Creative Director Bryan Intihar, Senior Game Director Ryan Smith, and Senior Narrative Director Jon Paquette.

Resident Evil 4’s stellar remake is set to receive a glut of new content in the coming weeks and months. Not only is its PlayStation VR2-exclusive VR mode due out this Winter, the game will also be getting a free update to its Mercenaries mode, as well as an expansion in the form of Separate Ways, both of which are coming in a week’s time.

In a recent Night City Wire stream, CD Projekt RED announced that Cyberpunk 2077’s Update 2.0 will be going live on September 21, while also showcasing some of the builds that players will be able to work towards courtesy of its revamped progression mechanics. But of course, the main course at the stream was the action RPG’s upcoming expansion, Phantom Liberty, and plenty of details were revealed for it as well, courtesy of Idris Elba himself, who’s playing Solomon Reed, a key character in the expansion.

Apple unveiled its new iPhone 15 lineup at its Wonderlust event on Tuesday, announcing plans to bring some AAA console and PC games to the mobile platform. That is if you purchase an iPhone 15 Pro, which is powered by the cutting-edge six-core A17 Pro chipset that allows for the games to run natively on the device with ray-tracing enabled. Games like Resident Evil 4 remake, Resident Evil Village, Death Stranding, and the upcoming Assassin's Creed Mirage will be out on the iPhone 15 Pro later this year and into early 2024. The company has historically boasted about its mobile devices' gaming performance, but this would be the first time we ever actually get to see it in action.

Today, New World opens up its PTR for the upcoming Rise of the Angry Earth expansion.
