Fans of FromSoftware's beloved action-RPG Bloodborne are promising to return to the game from March 24 to April 7 as part of the Return to Yharnam event. Bloodborne was first released in 2015. It was easy to engage in Bloodborne's co-op and PvP back when the game launched, but nine years later, it's a bit more difficult for players to enjoy the game's multiplayer elements.
The unfortunate reality of many FromSoftware games is that their multiplayer components become increasingly inaccessible as time goes on and players migrate to other games. Right now, most FromSoftware fans are likely playing Elden Ring in anticipation of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, but it looks like Bloodborne will soon be getting a significant influx of players.
The community-driven Return to Yharnam 2024 event is scheduled to take place March 24 to April 7. As detailed by prominent Bloodborne community member Meph, players are being asked to create a new Bloodborne character and play through the game all over again. Players are encouraged to «engage in as much co-op along the way as possible» and leave messages near lanterns saying, «you're in the know, right?» This call to revitalize the Bloodborne community should result in the game making a significant comeback in terms of player count, at least relative to its current player count, anyway.
Return to Yharnam is an annual Bloodborne event that the community runs to encourage people to return to the game and revitalize its online components. Anyone that has yet to jump into Bloodborne may very well want to consider doing so during this year's Return to Yharnam event, as this may be the best way to fully experience the game since it originally launched all the way back in 2015.
Other Bloodborne fans may be holding out on jumping back into the game in case the long-rumored remaster or remake ever materializes. Fans have been waiting for news on a Bloodborne remaster for years, but such a project has yet to materialize. Others have been hoping for Sony to announce a Bloodborne sequel, but that has yet to happen either. Still, rumors persist.
FromSoftware is busy making Elden Ring DLC right now, but its next major project post-Shadow of the Erdtree has yet to be announced. More information on FromSoftware's next project will likely be revealed at some point after Shadow of the Erdtree's June 21 release date.
Bloodborne is a tough-as-nails action-RPG from FromSoftware that has players battling ferocious monsters in a dangerous world.

Journalist Jeff Grubb recently claimed that Konami and Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake is going to be showcased at an as-yet-unannounced PlayStation event in May, and another leaker is now corroborating that.
Sony announced a remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic three years ago during the 2021 PlayStation Showcase. Since then, the trailer was delisted, it was indefinitely delayed, and it changed developers. Fears of it being cancelled have been mounting as both Disney and Embracer remain quiet, but developer Saber Interactive insists that it's still in the works and only yesterday revealed that the project is "alive and well".
Sony is planning a new PlayStation Showcase for next month, according to known insider Jeff Grubb.
Some Helldivers 2 players are unhappy with recent changes to the Slugger weapon brought about by the game's latest update. The new Helldivers 2 patch brought some new features and balancing changes to the game's growing arsenal of weapons, once again shifting the debate over which tools are the best.
After a last-minute delay to "scrub the branding off," the PS1-style racer Bloodborne Kart is now known as Nightmare Kart, and it's finally set to launch in May.
Alfred Molina's Doc Ock from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 has seen a resurgence in popularity after his high-profile MCU debut, and one fan has taken the time between appearances to learn something interesting about the character’s design.
A God of War fan created an adorable Kratos doll, complete with a tiny Leviathan axe. Kratos is known as a fierce and violent character, but players were able to see his gentler side as a father to Atreus in 2018's God of War and 2022's God of War Ragnarok, with this doll making the Ghost of Sparta look even softer.
A future PS5 update has been revealed, in which the 'Game Help' section of the system's interface will be significantly expanded upon. The new 'Community Game Help' is exactly what it sounds like: players will be able to reference gameplay clips from other users when they're stuck on a certain in-game objectives, challenges, or Trophies.
Although it's yet to be officially announced, we all know that the PS5 Pro is real, and it's likely dropping later this year. A mid-gen upgrade on the PS5, Sony will probably position the refreshed console as another premium product — something that it's been doing throughout the generation so far, with stuff like PS Portal and the DualSense Edge.
An Xbox 360 fan acquired a classic version of the popular console, but accidentally updated it, erasing the Blades dashboard in the process. When the Xbox 360 first launched, it did so with the Blades dashboard, a unique set-up that many remember fondly. There have been calls for Xbox to bring back the Blades dashboard in some capacity, but nothing to that effect has actually been announced at the time of this writing.
FromSoftware fans have been taking to the studio's subreddit to vote on their favorite feature for each one of its Souls games. FromSoftware invented the Souls genre with the original Demon's Souls, expanding on the concept with the Dark Souls trilogy, the Gothic horror Bloodborne, the ultra-challenging Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and the massive open world game Elden Ring.
