Home to the highest chance for receiving Potent Blood and Pact Armor drops is the Blood Harvest Seasonal Event. With a wave of his hand, the Dark Master has dispatched cunning Blood Seekers with armies of vampires to conquest the Dry Steppes, Hawezar, and Scosglen regions of Sanctuary, imprisoning its denizens and causing pandemonium.
Similar to Helltides, Blood Harvest will rotate between zones, allowing players to experience the same content in a different environment. Participating in Blood Harvest events will be the best way for players to earn Potent Blood and Pact Armor, which will help activate and enhance Vampiric Powers.
What makes Blood Harvest different from Helltides is that players will be able to participate in Blood Harvest events directly after creating their character, while Helltide only becomes available once a character reaches World Tier 3. Additionally, while Helltides are only active for one hour at a time, there will always be a Blood Harvest event active somewhere on the map. For example, as one Blood Harvest ends in Dry Steppes, another event will immediately become activated in Scosglen.
Like Helltides, players will also receive currency during Blood Harvests. One of these currencies, Blood Lures, can be used to summon Bloodseekers, which have a higher chance of dropping the all-important Potent Blood. Vampiric Keys will also be earned and can be used to either set free the citizens of Sanctuary that have been captured by this vampiric army or to unlock Vampiric Caches. As players collect these currencies, they will stay with the player and can be used in future Blood Harvests.
An additional incentive for participating in the Blood Harvest events will be the Hunter's Acclaim Tier rewards. Hunter's Acclaim Reputation can be earned by killing monsters, freeing prisoners, and participating in other Blood Harvest-related content. Earning Hunter's Acclaim Reputation will unlock additional rewards, which can be claimed at the Hunter's Acclaim Board in town. Hunter's Acclaim rewards include Legendary Caches, Vampiric Powers, and Potent Blood.
With Blood Harvests, Blizzard is reacting to one of the focal points of community feedback by introducing more challenging and rewarding activities to the vast overworld of Diablo 4. We're looking forward to participating in these Blood Harvests, fighting against new Endgame Bosses, and testing out all of the new Vampiric Powers when Season of Blood goes live on October
