Blizzard Listening to Feedback on Season of the Construct

Diablo 4 will make some improvements to Uber Uniques, with the aim to increase chances of getting ones you want and making dupes useful. Next week’s update also fixes a number of issues, from accessibility bugs, to Season of the Construct glitches affecting gameplay.

Diablo 4 once again found itself in the eye of the storm with the launch of Season 3 (Season of Construct), as community complaints took aim at unpopular traps that littered some encounters and ineffective loot. But Blizzard's newest patch seems to have reversed the verdict.

Season of the Construct is now live inDiablo 4, along with its first hotfix addressing a particularly annoying progression blocker. However, several players aren’t happy with the season in general, whether it’s the lack of much new content, the Vaults and their traps, the underwhelming Seneschal Construct, etc.

Diablo 4’s Season of the Construct, the third season for Blizzard’s action RPG, launched a few days ago on consoles and PC to a mixed reception. Players also reported issues with the seasonal quest, “Drums of the Vault,” which prevented progression. A new hotfix is now live to remove the blocker.

Diablo 4 had a rough start with Season 1, an encouraging recovery with Season 2, and now seems to have taken a step back or at least lost some momentum with the launch of Season 3. Players have complained of ineffectual and annoying new content since the new season's release, but as the action RPG's community dips back into disgruntled territory, at least Blizzard has been quick to assure people that it's paying attention to the early feedback.

When it was confirmed that Season of the Construct would be launching on Tuesday, January 23rd, Diablo 4 players were somewhat confused. This is because shortly after the launch of Season 2, Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher stated that the team would try to release future Seasons on Thursdays or Fridays instead. Earlier this week, Blizzard announced what's coming up in Season 3 of Diablo 4, and underneath the mountain's worth of lore and loot updates, there was the surprisingly good news that WASD key controls were finally being added to help provide even more accurate and precise movement in the game over the series' traditional mouse clicks. Not that any of them could decide how to actually pronounce WASD when it came to talking about them on last night's Developer Update stream, though, as there were competing cries of "was-dee", "wased" and "double-you-ey-es-dee" all over the shop as they debated this clearly very "controversial topic" live on air.
