Secretfinders, rejoice! A major step in the search for Diablo 4's Cow Level has been completed: a player found out how to obtain the three relics that are needed to access the Forlorn Hovel. Most experts agree that this particular cellar could be the location to open a portal into Sanctuary's parallel cowmension!
Diablo 4 Cow Level — What We Know So Far More Secret Cow Level Details Unveiled
As it appears, players need to kill exactly 666 cows to get one of the three relics needed to craft a key that opens a secret cellar, which is assumed to be the summoning location for a portal into Diablo 4's Secret Cow Level.
Sounds confusing? Let's look back at what we know so far:

As reported back in June, theorycrafters and dataminers scoured Diablo 4's release client data for any files hinting at a possible Cow Level in Blizzard's newest ARPG — and they found damning evidence: Three «objects of great significance» — ,, and — were assumed to be used to craft a, which could then be used to open the door to a secret cellar called the Forlorn Hovel:
The name of this cellar appeared in the client files during Diablo 4's beta phases but wasn't accessible either during beta or at launch. Its location, however, was known through the files: Scosglen, Highland Wilds (yes, like the Scottish cattle breed).
As reported two weeks after our initial article, the zone shape resembles a cow head and also inhabits cows — another gigantic breadcrumb on the search for Diablo 4's Cow Level.
Over four months and countless attempts by the Cow Level Secret Finding Discord, one player finally has managed to find one of the three relics by killing exactly 666 cows. According to a message by Discord server admin Chef, each player can only obtain one relic per week (the exact timer is assumed to be 666666 seconds or 7.7 days).
The relics themselves, however, are tradable, so getting access to the cellar should be much easier in a group!
Players then need to visit the Oxen Shrines fountain in Ked Bardu to craft the, which seemingly provides eternal access to Forlorn Hovel. Killing all cows inside of Forlorn Hovel will cause the last cow in the cellar to drop a — an homage to Diablo II's Cow King, who drops several Stamina Potions until this very day.
Players who consume the Stamina Potion will receive a 5-minute «unknown buff» with no particular effect — and that is where the road ends, at least for now. If you wanna join the Cow Level action, the folks over at Vulkk have collected all the details and also posted three different Cow Farming Routes — so check out their Cow Level Guide!
What do you think is the last missing puzzle piece to summon a portal to the Cow
