Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 3 Is Gigantic, Out Now on PS5 with Improved Performance | Push Square

Developer Larian Studios hasn't taken the foot off the gas since Baldur's Gate 3 launched, pushing out the second hotfix of the week and the ninth since the game launched on PC at the start of August, with those coming to the PS5 iteration, which launched in September. That's in addition to three full patches, the most recent of which (amongst many other things) improved PlayStation performance, as well as introducing the character-editing Magic Mirror.

Warm Snow is an action roguelike, a simpler game in the style of Hades, and like it, puts its story front and centre. It's coming to PS5 and PS4 on 20th October, and we got an animated story trailer to help set the scene.

The new PS5, colloquially known as the PS5 Slim, will replace the original model next month – and its main selling point is its detachable disc drive. For Sony, this design tweak will streamline its manufacturing process – but for consumers, it’ll also provide flexibility. The remodelled machine will also come in 30 per cent smaller than its predecessor, which is a significant footprint reduction.

UFO Robot Grendizer is a classic sci-fi mecha anime that dates all the way back to the 1970s — and it's being revived as an action game in the very near future. UFO Robot Grendizer: The Feast of the Wolves lands on PS5 and PS4 on the 14th November, and going by its first proper gameplay trailer, it just looks like a damn fun time.

Larian Studios released the ninth hotfix for Baldur's Gate 3 this afternoon. The two headline features of this small patch are the ability to change your main character's name and the appearance of the Hirelings via the Magic Mirror (added to Baldur's Gate 3 with Patch 3)

The Baldur’s Gate 3 hotfixes are coming thick and fast. After Hotfix 8, which shaved His Majesty after a cat backlash from fans, came out earlier this week, Larian has now released Hotfix 9, which brings the sprawling Dungeons & Dragons-themed role-playing game up to version number 4.1.1.3767641.

As previously announced during Sony's recent State of Play livestream, Square Enix's online battler Foamstars is getting an open beta, and it's available now on PS5. You can play the Happy Bath Survival and Smash the Star modes from now until 11:59pm PDT on Sunday, with eight characters up for selection. Your progress won't carry over into the full version, and while there will be a PS4 edition available at launch, this open beta isn't available on Sony's last-gen system.

Prospective city planners, we have a bit of bad news for you. Paradox Interactive has announced a delay to its upcoming city sim sequel, Cities: Skylines 2. The console versions, which of course includes PS5, have been pushed back to Spring 2024. The PC version is still on schedule for 24th October, 2023.

Cyberpunk 2077 is getting another patch just a couple of weeks after the 2.0 update dropped. Despite receiving a slew of gameplay overhauls and bug fixes, it can still be a glitchy game.
