Armored Core 6 Tops Weekly Japanese Charts with Over 163,000 Units Sold

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have announced the release of Armored Core VI update 1.02 across all platforms. This patch aims to fix several bugs and balance weapon units to increase build diversity in the early and middle part of the game. The developers promised PvP balance changes would be introduced in a future update. We've added the full Armored Core VI update changelog below.

Pikmin 4 had been consistently topping weekly Japanese physical software sales charts since its launch in July, before being dethroned last week courtesy of Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon’s impressive debut. This week, however, the Switch title has once again retaken the top spot, as per data released by Famitsu, with over 34,000 units sold.

Ratatan—the spiritual successor to the PSP’s Patapon—has reached its crowdfunding goal on Kickstarter, and at the time of writing, has managed to far surpass its target of raising ¥20,000,000. By the time the Kickstarter campaign ended, the studio—Ratata Arts—has raised ¥219,314,335 for development of Ratatan.

As the school holidays wind to a close, and those heady weeks of FIFA games and lengthy RPG sessions fade into memory, my household has had one last gaming hurrah. I’ve been making my way through all of the things I saw at Gamescom, and carried on with some of them when I got home. Wayfinder has become the daily MMO hit, and I’ve been playing with my son in his first true stint of online gaming. Alongside that I’m still playing Baldur’s Gate 3, and I’m probably going to finish up just as the PS5 version appears. It’s safe to say it’s very, very good, and if you haven’t been able to play yet, you should be excited.

Developer FromSoftware has announced that it is aware of an issue with the PC release of Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon where some players are facing problems with their save data. The studio has stated that it is currently in the process of investigating the issue.

Baldur’s Gate 3‘s first patch, aptly titled Patch 1, is officially live. This brings the BG3 version number to 4.1.1.3669438, so make sure you’re on the proper version when you play next! It’s important to do so because Patch 1 addresses over 1,000 bugs as well as introduces some balance changes and fixes some flow issues while playing.
