Since debuting in North America on Nintendo DS in 2005, the Ace Attorney series has steadily built up a large and dedicated legion of fans. Many of the games center on Phoenix Wright, but his understudy Apollo Justice is arguably a more compelling character. And now, just like his mentor, Apollo Justice's courtroom battles are being rereleased on modern platforms. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy releases January 25, 2024, and preorders just went live for Nintendo Switch at Amazon and Best Buy.
There are currently no preorder bonuses for the upcoming Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy. You'll get a bunch of exclusive content that wasn't present in the original games--but that's just part of this updated trilogy and not exclusive to preorders.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy costs $50 and includes three iconic games: Apollo Justice Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Dual Destinies, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. You'll eventually be able to get it on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, but right now only physical Switch preorders are open.
Along with all the storylines offered by the original three games, the trilogy comes packed with exclusive new content. This includes an updated design to help you dive deeper into the narrative of all three titles, the ability to jump to any episode or chapter as soon as you load up the game, and an autoplay feature that marches through dialogue for you. There's also a Story Mode that's ideal for players who want to sit back and enjoy the adventure as a movie.
Other bonuses include the soundtrack of all three games, an exclusive art library, and the Animation Studio, which allows you to build your own scenes. Note that no other versions are up for grabs, and the standard edition is the only edition being offered by Capcom.
This collection certainly sounds like the ideal way to relive the journey of Apollo Justice, as it encompasses games from as far back as 2008. It's also bringing the games to new platforms, with many games previously only available on Nintendo DS, 3DS, or mobile. Whether you're an Ace Attorney newcomer or a longtime fan, this is a great title to add to your collection.
Can't wait to get your hands on some Ace Attorney action? Check out the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, which is currently on sale for $10. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and Ace Attorney Turnabout Collection are also seeing nice price cuts for Switch.
