One of Fallout's showrunners has acknowledged concerns that Amazon Prime Video is a poor fit for the series. Speaking with TheGamer, Graham Wagner says he's aware that Fallout has always had an "anti-cooperate" energy, but adds that this irony was "part of the appeal".
Amazon Shares First Clip From Fallout Show

Amazon has shared a clip from its upcoming Fallout show, giving us a better look at our three main characters. The scene depicts a showdown between our Vault Dweller, Lucy, and the wanderer just known as The Ghoul, before it's shut down by the Brotherhood of Steel.
This is the first scene to be shared by Amazon outside of trailers and likely shows the first time that the main trio meet in the story. The scene appears to take place in a settlement reminiscent of the various towns we'd find in Fallout 3, particularly Megaton.
However, the most exciting part for fans of the games will be seeing the power armour in action. While it cuts off before any proper fight can kick off, we can see that the show has mostly kept power armour faithful to their depiction in the Bethesda-developed games, while also giving its wearer a more imposing voice.
We also get to see how the writers have interpreted the Vault Dwellers, and how they'd interact with a wasteland they're completely unprepared to face. Here, Lucy appears to recount a rehearsed script, likely taught by Vault-Tec, on how to deescalate a confrontation. But of course, it's laughably out of touch with how these interactions go down in the wasteland. Considering the player if often the one playing as a Vault Dweller, the writers would have had to decide for themselves how one would tackle this situation - and they've opted for, 'not very well'. Which makes a lot of sense - their Vaults are nothing like the wasteland.
