Always In Mind Is An Upcoming Narrative-Focused Action Platformer From A Former Square Enix, Sega Dev

Sony’s Santa Monica Studio has wrapped up their epic Norse story arc with last year’s release of God of War Ragnarok, so now ever-inquisitive fans turn their attention to the future. What might Kratos get up to next? We really have no idea at this point, but we now know the name of somebody who will likely help chart the franchise’s next step.

Today, South Korean developer MINTROCKET (a division of NEXON Korea responsible for the critically acclaimed single player adventure RPG DAVE THE DIVER) unveiled NAKWON: LAST PARADISE, a zombie stealth extraction game set in Seoul. The game world features PvPvE elements, so players will have to be mindful of both real players and AI-powered zombies.

NieR: Automata easily ranks as one of Square Enix’s best (and most successful) games in recent years, but six years on from the game launch, there have been little to no indications that a full-fledged sequel is going to arrive anytime soon. With Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth’s release date fast approaching, Square Enix has dropped a new video recapping the story of Final Fantasy VII: Remake.

In the lead-up to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Square Enix has shared a recap of the original game’s story, set from the perspective of Red XIII. The recap comes as both Square Enix and fans are counting down the days until Rebirth‘s release on February 29, 2024.
